Got it on today and started to do a little underneath. And I got my steering column done too.

Never thought about it like that...lol, I guess now would be the time to do frame connectors.

Isn't it best to weld the connectors when the car is sitting at it's natural stance on the tires??

Could I request more pictures of the rotisserie itself?

Or under the rear spring front perches, and the outer k frame, as most of the weight is supported there, when on the ground. But guys in here seem to have had no problems welding connectors in when car upside down.

It's a good idea to brace the door openings and to cross brace the a pillars before welding or replacing panels and floor pans. You want the doors to fit when you're done. Mike

If I would have known that I wouldn't have commented on the cross bracing. Sorry! Just trying to be helpful.

I planned on it, Seem like most people like to make a pissing contest out of most anything on this site.
I don't think Mike said that with any hostility or pissing involved, just trying to give some extra info just in case you might not have known already. Ease up a little. I know what you mean by a lot of folks like to start prick waving contests but this ain't one of them and Toolmanmike is one of the good guys!

EDIT: I remember way back when i didn't know what mike said and i cut the floor completely out of my Coronet. Guess what happened.... yep, you got it...

Its ok man. One of the only things that were good were the floor pans. I do autobody by trade anyway its all second nature to me.

any chance you would be able to post a pic of the 4 speed cutout from underneath when you have a chance?

I am debating putting a 4-sp in my Barracuda and want to get a idea exactly how much of the floorpan needs to be cutout.

It's so clean I hate to do it.... but I really want a stick car

Thanks

Let me see what I can do. If I get a chance I will snap a few tomorrow.

Hey 4404spd the column looks great. Did you rebuild it or just repaint it. I'm getting ready to do the exact same thing to the 69 power column that I just picked up and was wondering what was in store for me, any tips.

hey looks good man. Many people weld in frame connectors many different ways. they all work... :) good luck. show us some more pics!!
