Magnum Exhaust Manifolds in an A Body

-
So any mid 90's to early 2000's dodge dokata w/magnum 318 or 360 rear dump exhaust manifolds should work with non power steering with an auto. Especially '67 and later with floor shift?

Does anybody know if the full size ram w/ 318 or 360 is the same manifold as the dakota.

I guess i'm asking when I go scour the junk yards what should I be looking for????

I am new to A bodies but 71 Duster with manual steering appeared to have much more room than the dart pics on here. I was planning on going the Magnum route since I have a set from my 01 Ram. Anyone tried this application on a Duster. I am installing a 4speed as well. Thanks

I just found a set with the 2 1/8 ports locally off a 92 r/t dakota... $50 bucks. I'm going to try them next week. I'll take plenty of pictures and post them up.

Has any one put Magnum manifolds on a manual steering 4 speed Duster? If so is there any modifications needed?

they exit at the Z-bar so there is no way to fit a pipe
unless you use a hydraulic or cable type conversion

Does anybody have a pictures of the drivers side manifold after the modifications to clear the steering column. I have seen a couple with the manifolds installed but I was wondering if there are pictures with the manifold out of the car.

I am getting ready to modify one now and was wondering how much to take off, how thick is the casting.

I have a set at the house, if I can ever get the time......they will get installed...

If yours are modified for the colume, would you take a few pictures and maybe describe how much you took off.

Saved me some time and frustration. I guess I will be going with the TTI as well on my 71 duster. I got 01 Magnum manifolds but won't work with the speed, so now I have $150 worth of mopar paper weights.

I have a 67 barracuda, 360/727, manual steering.
I'm putting a 92 dakota manifold on the passenger side and a hipo-340 manifold on the drivers side. I tried putting the dakota manifold on the driver side. After a little grinding it still wasn't clearing. Right now the manifolds are getting ceramic coated when I get them back I'll take a few pics of them on the bench and installed.

If anybody wants a driver side 92 dakota manifold with 2 1/8 exhaust port its your 20$ plus the ride. Its going to need a weld job as it has been ground on to clear the steering colume.

So is it confirmed that a 4 speed is out? :read:
I have a 64 Valiant 318 (original slant) 4 speed and the drivers manifold just broke an ear because I didn't read up on the pads on the later heads. :eek:ops:

Were can I get some manifolds ceramic coated? If anyone needs some magnum manifolds I have a set $150 plus shipping. Thet came off a 01 Dodge ram

I've got a set of the big port manifolds from a 93 dakota that I'm going to fit to a 71 duster with a 4 speed. The clutch linkage is in the way I'll be going hydraulic clutch. Also the steering coupler of my manual steering gearbox hits the manifold. I'll be getting the u-joint from firm feel to fix that. I also have a spare passenger side big port manifold if someone's hunting send a PM.

Locally, we have a place that does sand blasting, powder coating and ceramic coating... Maybe you have something similiar.

Whoops, meant to say Flaming River. I just picked it up on eBay saved $40 from retail. I'll post some pics when I get the time to install.

Hi guys, well I was planning on the magnum manifolds for my '74 Scamp project that I intend to have a low stance but reading the 4 threads I am headed back to stock manifolds since I'm not running over 300 hp.... but what I don't see is the specific problem with the manifolds just "grind the heck out of the manifold/steering box or find a welder who can weld a manifold"
My motor is in pieces and I am looking at the engine bay wondering if the power steering box can be lowered just a bit and the motor raised just a bit but then I still don't know if the clearance problem is due to height or width. Also, I know this is strange since I haven't looked at the steering column but what if it was moved to the right 1/8' also... yes that would be some work on the firewall but darn it.... I want it all-- a great sounding low daily driver.
What are your thoughts ??

I also did a 340 manifold on the drivers side and Dakota RT 92 big outlet passenger which worked out very well. Also by coincidence and luck the manifolds have very close to the same flow rates as evidenced by dyno tests which I am looking for and will post the address if I can find it again.
