Woo Hoo,it worked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That thing is a heavy hitter! Sounds like about 600 horsepower!!!

Congratulations on putting together a GREAT looking car, and it sounds even better than it looks!!!

How VERY COOL!!!

You da man, Dennis!!! :)

you gotta set the video permissions to 'everyone'. if its just 'friends' or 'friends of friends' then thats who can see it.

that's what i did to post mine.

(gotta do an update on mine soon - got mah new white walls at last!)

Try it now !!

hmm... seems really big... for giggles you may want to run a stock set of rocker/shafts, and install a pressure gauge in the end, let it run and check it...
then do it for the rollers, i would be curious as to how much pressure is being lost and how much oil is shooting out...

Happened across this, and I have an answer on the Oil Pressure.During the Break-in time,it held a steady 50psi !! Hope that helps !!

Finally got this to photobucket.

OK,so it's been a while since any updates, but this morning the Buzzin Half Dozen went off on a flatbed to a new resting place for a few!Not sure how long yet, but at least it's in good hands to finally get finished !! Due to physical and health reasons, this tired ole phart has to know when to say when !! So I when !Brought it back to my engine builder who will be working on it as he can between his full time cars !!So I'm going to hurry up and wait, and pray it will be done for my birthday !!:-({|=

How much is left to be done, Dennis? The motor sounds great (LOVE the sound!) and the paint and "Buzzin' " decals really set the car off... It didn't look to me like there was very much left to be done.

Keep us posted; that car is awesome....

I want to see some performance numbers from a drag strip; curiosity is KILLING me!!!:happy1:

Our car is finished except fpr some mixture tuning issues, and we're working feverishly on that... so, we hope to have it on a drag strip, running 10 pounds of boost, very soon. Pray for us...:prayer::prayer::prayer:

Hang i there; good to hear from you!!!

Still have brake lints to bleed, adjust brakes, get my gear vender hooked up and wired for speedo, remove old gauges and replace with my Rocky Mountain /Auto Meter gauges. Also the Mallory Dizzy needs someminor adjments to allow for fine tuning. I'm just at his mercy on timeline, that's the only negative! As for time sheets, I've got a lot of added weight, tranny, stereo boom box in the trunk AND MY LARD AZZ!!!

That thing sounds real good.

Well,it's been 1 week, and a couple things have been addressed, but my fancy Autometer gauges seem to be junk. They are Lunar Sries that are supposed to glow Green to match the car,but they don't glow at all !Mechanic called AM,and they apparently had problems with this series, and there's no replacement parts for them !! So much for friggin $800 worth of gauges !!Dash needs some customizing to let the RM gauge panel fit right,no biggy !One step closer I guess !!

HA HA HA! A friend of mine once asked, " What's with car guys? They stand around looking at engines."...here's video evidence

Too funny,LMAO !!There's another saying that was actually on a T-shirt I owned that read " IF YOU HAVE TO ASK,YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND !! There's guy that comes to our local cruise-in with a /6 Rat Rod.I happened to be standing by his car when a couple old guys were checking it out.One says to the other, why wouldn't you put a motor like the one next him (all chromed out small block) ?I couldn't keep my mouth shut, and asked why,do you see another /6 like this around ? it's called having it his way and daring to be DIFFERENT !!!!! They just grumbled and walked away !!!And to those type I say :finga:

HA! reminds me of a similar incident about a different car...a hot rodded 'Whippet' w/ a modified Flathead Ford. There was a couple walking around it, the wife asked, "What is it?" The guy responed as if annoyed at the stupidity of the question, "It's a WHIPPET!"...but I could see he had just read the name off the running boards...

Or when you go to an all MOPAR show, and a female stops to ask your wife why she put such a big back window in her '68 Cuda !!! DUH !!

OK,one step forward, two steps back !! Gear Venders apparently sent me the wrong unit for my det-up,so I've got to wait 'till next week to get ahold of them to see if we can get this resolved(it's been over a year since I purchased it.Never run,but we'll see) ! Another observation by my mechanic,NO c clips to hold the caps in place,so they could vibrate loose and cause another headache.Another problem that I have to wait 'till next week to get resolved !!!Ahhhhhhh !!!

Do not dispair, my good man....

if it were easy, everyone would do it!

Our car has been virtually "finished" for three months, and we have worn out the float bowl retaining bolts removing and replacing the float bowls to gain access to the jets and power valve because the A/F ratio meter refuses to give us a number that will work for us both in boost and at cruise. If the cruise is right, the boost is lean, and if the boost A/F number is right, it is cruising so rich that the gas will wash down the cylinder walls...

Count your blessings; you don't have to deal with THAT!

You'll get there... patience, my man....

"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."

Calvin Coolidge

Thanks for the encouragement Bill ! The driveshaft is going to be the easiest remedy,as it should be done by Tuesday ! Fortunately I think my mechanic may have a little clout because of his racing background with the gearvenders !!Time will tell !!! What's that they say, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger ? Charles Atlas step aside !!!:D
