I just went by Wal-Mart and looked at the Hot Wheels cars. Seems theres several Hot Wheels A-bodies out right now. Onthe rack, were a Dodge Demon, a 68 Hemi Barracuda fastback, a 68 Hemi Dart and, new for 2013, a 1968 Barracuda Formula S coupe. First notchback A-body Barracuda I've seen in any scale!
If someone posted this already, I apologize for the duplicate.

i have built quite a few 1/24th 1/25th models. i always built what tickled my fancy, mostly mopars tho. i have quite a few fords and chevys too.

i always loved the way the monogram models fit together, not much casting flash, color moulded parts, very well done plated parts, tho i alsways repainted them anyways. i regarded monograms models as the best.

i also loved the old johan mopars too even if their chassis was only one piece moulded. their 68 fury 1 cop car was always cool, as well as their road runners, belvederes, and superbirds you could build as nascar, custom, or stock. they even made a cool caddy hearse, and caddy ambulance.dont forget the johan chrysler turbine car. even the box art was great on that one.

never cared for the MPC kits. i had 3 of these daytona shelby kits, never finished any of them. parts fit pretty crappy, plating is runny looking, plus the wheels with the shelby kit werent actually the shelby wheels, but thety were the multihole wheels of the turbo Z. i dont think monogram would have made that mistake. the AMT kits were pretty good, tho everything was moulded in white. thats where the rattle can flat black comes in handy on the chassis after you glue it together.

i am eventually going to make a 4'x8' shadow box with shelves in it. and plexiglass over it to house my 1/18th diecast and smaller scale plastic kits in my garage. plan on repainting the walls, and putting black and light grey check floor tiles on the floor too.

i boxed up my built kits and padded them with tissue paper in 1995, and stuck em in my folks attic before i left for texas. i had everything shipped here summer 2012.i think im almost afraid to unwrap any of them. may need superglue to fix them.

nice models everybody, keep up the good work with building them. i love the quality kit builds you all are doing. my closeup vision and steady hands at 44 years old arent as good as it used to be when i was a teenager. got fustrated trying to build a mustang GT model recently (sigh)

hopefully my real car building skills will be around for a bit longer.
