I'm switching right now from the stock setup to an alterkation. I know they allow for more oil pan clearance and choices.

What do you guys recommend?

And my existing pan is FUBAR'd so that's part of the reason i'm buying a new one. It's been hit one to many times..

Milodon makes a oil pan for that setup. I bought a Charlies oil pan for mine. Mark

I found an old funny car oil pan from back before dry sumps, had to modify the front a small amount , so far so good. milodon single line p/u, had to shorten the single line a little. saved some $$ on that deal.

if ya call bill i think he would be able to give you a list.

pretty sure a stock type would fit. i think he likes the Milodon road race pan.

Good luck trying to get a hold of Bill. We bought 3 kits from him at one time and we had issues with the master cylinders in the kits not working. Tried getting a hold of him for a few months and said screw it and just bought new ones.

I use a Charlies with external oiling you can have him make it either way just tell him it is for a BB with the RMS AlterKtion and if you want to use a swing pickup or not. The single line Milodon may not fit because of the steering rack and it hangs lower than the Charlies. Don,t know about the RR pan just that it is internal oiling.

Rocco, your running a big block?

Yes, 440 RB

I've never had trouble getting a hold of him. Sorry to hear you did.

Joe, I'll give him another call. When we first spoke he just said nearly any pan would work.

I called Bill.

He said the best pan that will fit his system is the Milodon 31580

He also said that Charlies makes a pan specific to the Alterkation.

I am using a milodon low profile pan in my 63 valiant 400 BB and an alterkation k frame with no problems of fit. I do however have low ground clearance to the pan 3.5 inch and that is with the adjustable shocks cranked WAY up. I think I am going back to a stock pan so I can lower my shocks down some so it is not such a stiff ride. After I get my new stock pan and verify all is good I am considering selling the LP pan. The low profile pan is 7 inch deep compared to stock of 5.25 inch.

The Milodon 31151 is designed for the tubular K-frames. I happen to a new one that is for sale if you're interested.

I like that pan....nice and shallow and slated for my "next " build.....my Hemi driveline in a not-so-street Duster body.

PM me a price if you still have it.

Hey mate, I have a 440 with a Charlie oil pan on it, due to using an alterkation front end.

By any chance do you know how much oil to put in the engine with that oil pan.
The milodon 22070 dip stick I have doesn't have any markings on it.
Cheers
