Seems like a good deal on E-bay

Im not a "stock/original" guy. But a car like this WOULD have been an excellent choice.
Why do people continue to tear apart cars that are actually worth some money?
What a shame.
Maybe they thought it was a Camaro?

Confused me here, are you saying it is worth the money he's asking?

Or had it not been tubbed/cut it would be worth money?

To who??..

to bad its cut . looks like some fromage in the quarters mite be the pic . it would take 40 grand to take her back to mint .

Wow! Tough audience. So I guess for 6k you want a all original untouched running driving 383 4speed 67 GTS for 6,000?

I Dont know what its worth but I know I'm working on worse.
Hope someone saves it, cool car.

very tough crowd here - here's a thing or two about this car - not #'s matching and never will be, so the 1 of 18 thing doesn't mean anything... that really knocks the $#!t out of the value. Now replace all the other missing parts and repair the hacked up fender wells and wheel tubs - replace or repair that grill... so on and so forth - mega hours and easily 20-25k spent doing it right - as in "restored" (and probably a LOT more as mentioned above). Hell, even if you go resto-mod/rod you'll spend some hefty coin getting it all put back together so it'll be a decent driver.. as it sits for sale on EBay - I imagine "you'll" have done well to realize anything approaching 4k for it. JMO

You don't know. Maybe it was "cut apart" in the spring of 1970? These cars were not "collectable" then. These were owned by "us guys." "We" did all kinds of stuff to em.

A guy I knew in San Diego (Miramar) had a 440 Dart. Fenderwell headers. It could have BEEN a GTS for all I know.

bingo. hell it could have been done up till the 80's when they still weren't worth ****.

It's a legit '67 383 4 speed car...and $6000 is way overpriced?

I really don't get this community sometimes :banghead:

but it's hacked up, no dash that I can see and the motor is gone... what would you have when your done with the build? Honestly, just another hot rod Dart... and I an't $h!tn on 'em here - but it won't be a WOW #'s car..

Hacked up? All it needs is the mini-tub finished and new inner fenders. Most members here have done WAY more to their cars than that. I sure as hell have. Most folks would install a mini-tub anyway.

If it were restored with a date code correct 383 everyone would be drooling all over it and whining about how undervalued rare A-bodies are. Yeah, $6k is high without the numbers matching drivetrain, but it's not some /6 rust bucket either.

The same guys bagging on this car would be trying to say their nothing special from the factory restored cars are worth $30k. Can't have it both ways.

not exactly true. to some that little VIN tag makes all the difference in the world. its the difference between a nothing slant 6 car and a factory big block car. even without the original engine it would be worth quite a bit more then the original slant 6 car if in the exact same condition. just th eway it is man.

'67 vin is on door jamb. Dash is same as any other '67 Dart.

Besides if he's asking $6k that means it can probably be loaded up for $4-4.5k. Find a '67 Dart parts car for $1k. And for the uninformed...'67's didn't have numbers on engine/trans, so if you're looking to make it correct you just need to find a date correct block and trans. Personally I would just stick any 383 and trans in there to enjoy the car until the correct ones could be found.

yes i am well aware of that. but the VIN is what makes that car worth more then a comparable slant 6 car.

Members buy slant 6 cars, 318 cars all the time in worse shape than this one, dump a ton of money in , build a stroker motors, install late model Hemi's in them, maybe a big block and think they have something special? When in the end it is still a slant six car or a B,C,D for the 5th letter in their Vin. But to restore a 67 GTS 4speed H code car in the same condition doesn't make cents?
Park them both side by side and I'm in the market, guess which one is worth more and which one I would be dealing on? Also the ad says 6K or make offer, I'm sure it can be bought for less.
