Spring Fling Speed Festival X, SFSF, Track Day by Alltime Racing. Thursday, April 21st, 2016.

Followed by Spring Fling Mopar show by CPW Club, at Woodley Park, Van Nuys, Ca. Sat-Sun April 23-24, 2016

This all day Track Day starts at 8am and runs to 5pm. Lots of old Mopars running free on a 2.5 miles road course.

This year promises to be bigger and better than ever with cars coming from all over the West Coast including Canada.

PLUS we have 2 former Chrysler race engineers coming to discuss processes and plans put to action at Gurneys All American Racers, Hurst's drag program, and Petty Enterprises . Both Bob Tarozzi and Bill Surber will be on hand to share factory secrets, and give car build advice.

This is an amazing event! Been there twice, and hoping to make it there this spring.

The Spring Fling Speed Fesival is on April 21st, Thursday, 2016. Piggybacked on the the Woodley Park show by CPW Club and Steve Wall. The Track is about an hour from the Show and the Airtel Hotel.

New for this year will be Happy Hour at the track the afternoon before. Bring your Enclosed car trailer, RV, or Camp Trailer and cook out at the track starting Wednesday afternoon.

Aslo new, still working out the timeline, Bob Tarozzi will be signing copies of his new book and telling more stories of his amazing adventures.

In Addition I have another Chrysler chassis engineer , Bill Surber, and Chrysler Liaison to Petty Enterprises from 1968- 197?, Like Bob, he also worked at Hurst with the Big Block Darts And AMX's on their drag Program. His name, Bill Surber. He is looking forward to tell his stories as well and he has some good ones as well.

If you have any good ideas for planning or making this evnt even more exciting please let me know.

Which Cuda are you bringing this year?

I'm going to bring the '68 Convertible. It's almost ready. The tune for the fresh 408" Magnum is almost sorted out, but have to swap out the oil pan gasket (I didn't put sealer in the corners of the one-piece gasket :violent1:) and finish up the a/c install and interior.

The #77 Challenger will also be a Spring Fling 30 April 23 & 24 in Van Nuys next to Bob Tarozzi and Bill Surber fielding questions and signing books.

It will be a rare opportunity to see this car at a show west of the Mississippi AND have a developmental engineer with the car.

As Tim said, the 68 Super Stock Hemi Darts and Barracudas were designed by Bob Tarozzi. The drawings in the Jim Sheild box are his.

Bob also designed the 69 AMX Super Stock cars, Brad Anderson hemi heads, small block motor program for the UOP Shadow Can Am effort, and even a Buell motorcycle head.

Here's Bob's website: http://www.rtarozzi.com/

Thanks John!

Looking forward to seeing you. Also should be exciting to see how your Barracuda does with the new drive train upgrades!

Thanks, Tim! The only issue I may have is that I'm running drag radials on the back, but I think Herb ran them one year on the back of his awesome GTX.

I don't think you will get enough heat into them to cause a problem. It's been done before. Just inspect them when you come in after your first session. Or you can come in mid session if need be .
