I think you can sub in any Mopar ECU from any Mopar car, into your 5-pin harness, and it will run your car for testing purposes. I don't know what the differences might be between all those boxes. But I have collected a bunch of them, over the years, and everyone of them ran on my 367 68 Barracuda when I plugged them in for testing purposes.

But you cannot plug a 5-pin ECU into a 4-pin harness,lol.

Or should I get an MSD / Accel?
Or maybe you should upgrade to a REAL ignition box and forget about all that Chinese stuff? Your in Ecuador! You need something that will last, not retard the timing every time you try to accelerate and gets rid of that unreliable Ballast Resistor. Something designed in this century and Made in USA and with a 5 YEAR Warranty.
Go to eBay and read the information on:
Listing numbers 221759869530 and 321755083510
Or search HRR688 on Google
If you should decide to make the right choice contact us direct as Ebay Prices are inflated to cover huge listing fee's and other costs they hammer vendors with.

Try popping off the top of the carb when it shuts off, before you start trying to restart it. Is there any fuel left in the bowl

I'm late to the party. If it runs relatively well, it has spark, fuel, compression , and the timing needed. If it quits and is hard to start, like others have mentioned, you need to diagnose whether you lost spark or fuel. Pull the air cleaner and open the throttle. Is the choke open/ Is there accelerator pump squirt? If all is ok there you need to check for spark. a screwdriver stuffed in a plug wire and laying a 1/4" or so from the exhaust manifold works for a spark tester as long as you have a buddy along to crank the engine over. Now that's just a start. You may have to study up for more possibilities. Sorry if I
