Hey guys I came across a air aid spacer. Its a 4 hole type only difference is that each hole has a spiral or "threaded" finish on inside area. Supposedly to help air fuel mixture draw in like a tornado or spinning effect if you will. Just curious to know what you think. Gimmick or is it something that can help.

i used one, basically a 4 hole spacer, i guess one would need a dyno to really know for sure,id lean toward gimmick

Hey rigger have you installed the 292 cam in your motor? I know different subject, but wonder how did it work out? If not let me know when you get around to it. I plan to use same cam in my car.

It may disrupt the boundry layer but most of the flow is toward the center of the opening.
And if it did send any sideways, what's that doing to the cylinder to cylinder distributor?

not yet, still 2 ft of snow in front of garage.i want to run some baseline tests after i install 391s for the 355s, airgap and 750 qf are coming off for a holley strip dominator and a custom built carter superquad. then i'll do the camswap.i will post my results, should be good for a digital tongue lashing!lol

Sounds good!! Your build is so close to mine. I got a 360 stock stroke windage tray, KB107 .30 over pistons, stock x-heads (redone), 280/474 mopar cam, 2 plane intake with modded 850 thermoquad, 727 transmission with turbo action valve body and FTI 3400-3600 stall converter and 3.55 rear gears & auburn gear sure grip.
Will go to 3.91's & auburn gear sure grip. Holley strip dominator, 292 mopar cam, and very possible dynamic 4200 stall converter I already got!:steering:After this I can go ricer hunting and eat BMW's for breakfast!:D
