My hydraulic clutch master cylinder has leaked down my fire wall, and bubbled the paint is there any way to successfully repaint it. I know this thread should go in a paint forum but i don't see it anymore.

scrub it down with degreaser then use wax and grease prep...I had sMe issue with leaking Master Cyl.
Rinse really well

Hydraulic fluid should have no damaging effects to paint. More specifics might help us with your situation.

Switch system over to DOT V(5) it’s a different blend and if it is on paint it will not hurt it.

I used it in my complete new brake system but was told it had a different pedal feeling.
I stopped feeling pedals a long time ago. Lol!

Hello challenger57,

I had the same condition with my master cylinder leaking and running down the firewall leaving a nasty streak and contamination of the lip where the steering column goes through the firewall.
This is how I repaired it.
Note: I removed the engine to rebuild it so mine was a not as hard to do.
Removed steering column, master, and brake lines.
Washed effected surfaces with degreasing solvent.
Sanded all surfaces as best as i could with sand paper.
Cleaned surfaces with Prepsol.
Painted with self etching primer.
Painted with color matched polyurethane automotive paint. 4 to 1 to 1 mix.
This was all done with a airbrush from Harbor Freight. Used 10 psi to run the air brush.
Prep is everything, do a sample not on the car with the airbrush to get get familiar with the spray pattern.

3/4 And 3 Oz Airbrush Kit
Deltron®

Hope this helps.
happy Mopar :)

I have had that happen several times (owned my 65 Cuda since 73) and in 2003 when I "Completely" Re did my Brakes system (new Front Disk install, new Master Cylinder, new SS Brake lines, new rear wheel cylinders etc. ) I decided to switch to DOT 5 ( Silicone )... I ain't had a problem since !!! Now if it leaks... It hurts Nothing... In fact, I found it Cleans ... LoL..
Now this is not for everyone... Because DOT 3 or 4 does NOT mix with DOT 5 !!!!! Every Piece in contact with the old DOT 3 or 4 needs to be replaced... Or at least the metal parts have to be super cleaned...
Note: I made a "DOT 5" badge to put on the New MC so I would not forget... And add DOT 3 by mistake!!
Getting Old and I tend to forget things sometimes... Sigh~
