Stop in for a cup of coffee

Going to try brining a pork chop then grilling it, never done that with pork before, thick cut. Not sure what spices I'll add, time to wing it!

Big block engine compartments get too cramped for me...

Plus the 360 has a longer stroke than the 383...

Kinda partial to big bore short stroke motors here. The B blocks aren't so bad, the RBs sure complicate matters. A friend of mine in the old country had a Coronet with a 361 in it. He'd put a $20 on the dash board "If you can reach it, it's yours." About then he'd nail it and nail you so far back in the seat that $20 was a lost cause  on your part.

Just finished watering the new grass in the back. I need to wait another hour to do the front after the sun is off it. At least it’s starting to look like lawn again...

Took the motorcicle to town, beautiful day out there. Looked the car show over again. '66 Buick Special with a cross ram on it, carburetors through the hood, lumpy cam, good exhaust, 4 spd, that car is just too cool to be a Buick . I've seen it before but it makes me smile every time I see it. Fella in a Model A roadster pick up running around town with open headers. Pretty good day here. Let's not forget the '67 VW Bug towing a little tiny trailer .

Time to go mix up an adult beverage and get the pit started. The little independent market had whole Filet Mignon roasts on sale for the same price as Tri-tips. No brainer there. Some Earl Campbell Hot Links, couple fire roasted potatoes, good to go. :D

Rain.
Hoping for no rain tomorrow.
Maybe start painting trailer.

The wife decided to water the front. I’m about out of juice and she recognized it and stepped up.

All I could say was thanks...I appreciate it.

The new grass in the front is watered now. It is also starting to look like a lawn again...

About another 30 mins and I will scope out the work I did today with the laser level. I’d rather not just wait for a heavy rain to find out if it is right or not. The laser should give me a good idea of how it stands now.

The laser level showed me what I wanted to know. SW slope from the house is now 3” higher from the center point to the property edge at 10’...and the down slope side from the center point is also 3” down at 10’ from there.

After that, it is 6” down at 10’ and continues at that slope for another 40’ to the street. The property line is raised 10” from the other side which has an opposite slope, so nothing from that side intrudes.

Nailed it!

My Mom had a new one what a piece of pooh. I remember it overheated on the way home from the dealer.
My Dad popped the hood and it didn't have any belts...she was PISSED!!
Called the dealer and gave them an ear full...haha!!

You just like it because it is yellow with black stripes like your Duster.

I make a deal with you...I will send you a concrete brick painted yellow with black stripes and you will be happier with how it performs.

LOL you are correct, but It would not remain stock drive train.

Has china been putting the clamps on the us too?
Due to canada holding huwaui ?(sp) cell phone ceo china has been nailing us with all kinds of crap.
No canadian beef
No canadian canola
Tariffs on china imports. Price of chinese innertubes went through the roof.

Irwin hole saw is made by lenox.
China and US in a trade war. They trading tariffs back and forth. But so far in the last 6 months, there’s been a dozen Fortune 500 companies they are US based , break ground on new factories in the United States and are shifting production back to the US. Including Chrysler, who’s building a 1.8 billion dollar factory in Detroit and closing one in China and Another in Mexico. Ford is doing similar.

@ZMan67S

Just got home. The Hampton Inn will likely work just fine. Looked to be in a good area. Only concern would be if it gets filled up so to some event or something that’s unforeseen. Looks like parking is about 1 spot per room.

Just down the street an 1/8 mile is a Hilton Garden Inn that looks fairly new and the parking lot is a LOT larger, plenty of room even for a semi if needed
