At least you did not have a round head bolt on a 318 LA, it was not machined for the hex.I had to revise a bolt head last week when a SBC intake bolt was rusted between a 9/16 and 1/2". Some input from my heat wrench made it a 14mm and I pounded on the correct socket!
It was torqued on how?At least you did not have a round head bolt on a 318 LA, it was not machined for the hex.
I dont know, but the sob was tight, an air chiesel would not spin it out, I cut it off with a cut-off wheel, sacrificed the head.It was torqued on how?
Neither have I, and I have been fooling with small block mopars for over 35 years.Dam, I have never seen that b4. Kim
Thanks, its going in a old cuda drag car I have, back 1/2 dana 60 with a cage, just need to get the car together, most likley this winter, the back 1/2 and cage are done, just need to hang the sheet metal. That’s sweet. Kim
There was no breakaway marks on top of the bolt. That is called a torque bolt, it brakes off at a certain torque
