Hi, decided to share the progress over the past 8 years of restoration. Now it's in the final stage, too slow because of long logistics from US and limited resources.

If you don't mind I'll share some pictures first, than will add some comments.

And here comes the most fresh pictures.

rear lights ordered new, waiting for it, head lights (bulbs) new too, floor carpet, head liner new, seats with the new leather to come. The only one topic concerns me - harness... the engine harness ordered new, but the dashboard - it's looks too expensive (600 usd) and not sure it should cost like this.

Yes, the dash harness is expensive. YearOne sometimes has 30% off sales if your on their email mailing list. I bought all the harnesses 1 at a time for both barracudas from year one including the dash harnesses while on 30% off sale.

They will run sales during Christmas, Easter, and on American holidays like 4th of july, or Labor day among others. I always get something popping in my email inbox. this last one I got was 30% off. Good thru midnight Monday eastern standard time U.S. see below for the discount code.

68 dart harness is discount eligible. Usually YearOne has a black friday sale. Black friday the first major Christmas shopping day after American Thanksgiving holiday on November 25th. Stores offer crazy discounts to get people to spend their money. I have YearOne discounts at 35% off on black friday. The 30% off takes off $194 and takes it down to $452. Still a bit of money , but better price. Not sure how much shipping on a box with a wiring harness in it would be to Russia but if its eligible for free shipping or the discount I guess you would have to go with whichever is going to save you the most coin.

Classic industries does an " up to 25% off" sale. I dont fall for that. It usually means most of the stuff they put on sale is at only 10-15% off. When year one says 30% its 30% unless exempt from sale.

The dash harnesses from year one will come as a basic dash harness, so if theres any optional wiring in your old one like for a light package etc, the harness will not come with that. You will have to remove , clean up, and transfer that wiring from your old harness to the new harness.

You have done a killer amount of work to the dart, looks great. Maybe I need to ship my 67 barracuda to Moscow for you to put together lol.

You definitely want to put the dash frame back in before installing your windshield though.

Are you going to put the mopar rallye wheels back on? Or are you going with a more modern set of wheels? BTW the pix of your red K5 Blazer look great. Those are great looking trucks.

Yes, noted properly, will install it first and than windshield, thanks for spotting this!!!

I've not decided about the wheels, first thought - to bring back original ones, but not sure what exactly. I have a magazine "Dodge Dart limited edition extra" with a lot of pics - there variety of wheels but I like these ones "Bilet Magnum 500" or "Magnum 500" from the year one catalog. But looks like in that case no one will see my nice disc brakes :)

Did you see the 30% off discount on the harness I posted? Not sure if this helps or not. The shipping cost must suck though. The original "rallye wheels" are a timeless style, and so are the billet magnum 500s, plus the billet magnums you can get I think in 16" and 17" diameters so you can use more modern rubber on them.

Another option for you. A lot of people go with the mustang GT bullitt style rims too. They are a 5 bolt 4.5" diameter bolt circle, same as the magnum rallyes are. Heres what they look like on my 2007 Mustang GT. An online company called American Muscle sells these in different diameters up to 18" and offsets in the ford/mopar bolt pattern. These will show off your disc brakes really nice. The ones on my car are OEM 2007 Ford 16"x7" with Pirelli P zero tires.

Once your on their email list, YearOne will send you sale offers all the time corresponding with our holidays in the states.

This is very cool!
You do very nice work, and have far more patience than I do!
A Mopar lover is a Mopar lover.. countries don't matter when that love hits ya!

Achill, heres a Chrysler magazine ad from 1968. You might get a kick out of this. Chrysler was a major contractor for the U.S. space program back then.

I bet theres people on here that can help decode the Vin on it. Year One has a page in their catalog that shows how to decode the vin, and decode and read the fender tag.

cool restoration, I gotta say, I don,t ever see much on here from Russia, are there many Mopars there? are all cars there left hand drive?

Yes, 99% of the cars are left hand drive, only Far East of Russia is using right hand ones (because of Japan is near). regarding the Mopars in Russia - not so many, I've seen only one Dart (fully restored), we have huge taxes for import of old cars, so it's costs a fortune to import something older than 7 years...

Not my case I believe, I have strange, short VIN that no one could help to de-code so far... But I'll keep trying :)

Maybe yours was a pilot production car that got away. If so that's pretty rare. I have only seen a few of them.

Do you have the data plate that's on the LH inner fender ? The rivets holding the vin on aren't the rosette type that regular production cars used.
