Thinking of using mobil 1 10w30 synthetic oil in my dart. Checked the zinc content 900ppm . Is that sufficient . Engine is mild street build.

Probably if spring pressures are not high. Valve springs that is. However, that amount is kind of below what the ideal recommended amount of zinc should be. It would be safer to run a dedicated high zinc oil like valvoline VR-1, Shaeffers oil, Driven oil, or Brad Penn now Penn grade!! Not much more expensive just may need to be ordered from a supplier.

Ive been running a valvoline vr1 20w50 . Seems the viscosity is a little high . What are you running for viscosity in your 360?

15/40 shell synthetic rotella T6 diesel in my mild( 340) seems to like it and I have been monitoring my oil filter(attached magnet/cutting open) to look for signs of tappet /cam problems , 2yrs nothing

. (The 15W-40 Rotella T with Triple Protection oil has approximately 1200 ppm of zinc and 1100 ppm phosphorus at the time of manufacture.) per wikipedia/shell

it's on wally world shelves and a good price

why take a chance with off the shelf oils? call Amsoil. they have oil for every application and warranty your motor if failure is oil related. best money oil can buy.

I'm old skool. Run 30wt straight here in Texas it's toasty most of the year! Been running VR-1 before. Now will try Shaeffers 30 race oil and may give Brad Penn a try in the future.

Difficult in the great white north Canada) to find suppliers of amsoil given that we are fairly close to Wisconsin.
