Most people have no idea what these are. Pretty iconic speaker from the 80's. Luckily I still have the Grills. Without my music I would be a lost soul. Digging those Kickpanels....

Obviously the seal on the rear servo was toast...
Had to pull the valve body then remove the rear band strut. ...not bad at all...maybe 3 hours start to finish and transmission is working great!

Gonna give it a bit of a shake down drive this morning. ..

Jeff

That's awesome Jeff!

Back on the road with your rebuilt transmission and new converter!!! Rides are going to be a little more fun, lol.

Yes!....and I drove it yesterday just to go put gas in it...2 or 3 miles total. ..
1) It lights up the tires EASY now...
2) Gonna take a while to get used to the new higher stall converter. ..it barely moves until I get the RPMs up...I don't think there's anything wrong with it...just gotta get used to it...

Jeff

I'm still getting used to mine too. It's not bad, just different. I have to get used to the new 5.9 and rebuilt transmission with a 9.5" converter.

Means we will have to put lots of miles on them!! :steering:

That thing must be pretty loose. Make sure you have an adequate Cooler for it. She gonna heat up a little....

That looks great that's an art I gotta learn soon. I cant afford to pay someone to do it that's big money!

There's a guy in vegas who owns a shop that has been closed. He just charged 700 to do my buddy's full interior in his boat and it looks amazing. My buddy opted to get the "upgraded" material. 5 seats, and all of the trim pad pieces for 700!

currently learning how to buff/polish/wax a car with an orbital buffer. My paint is better than some, worse than others not perfect but in good shape...

Here's the trunk, it got a lot of little "brown/black" spots out. Trunk is probably the worst overall panel on the car because it has a big cracked bubble and other smaller cracks in the paint. Picture of cracked bubble thats located in the middle of the top portion of the trunk before polishing anything.

Wow that would be well worth driving up and having my boat done.

Hey Slopar- What size speaker do you have in that kick panel. Looks like a 6x9?

I went out to put up the flag and realized after many years of use both of the flags i have are faded and ripped. So i did something i probably should of done years ago. My dad died 36 years ago when i was 25 he was in the army in ww2 and when he was buried the veterans flag that was on his casket was folded and handed to me. Its been in the garage in a plastic bag all these years and never been unfolded. I had to make a longer pole for it sine it was twi and e as big as my old ones. 5'x12'. Then instead of working on the dart i washed and detailed my wife's suburban. After coming in and eating dinner i couldn't not do something on the dart.View attachment 1715535336
While sitting in my recliner.
Great attention to detail. I need to paint the grill on my Dart too. What material is the yellow?

I KNOW i mentioned this more then once on this board that I was going with 215/70 R14 tires for my 64 Dart, and I read numerous posts where Folks here did exactly that.

I am bummed that nobody mentioned that these tires will hit right up against the lower inner section of the front fenders.... WTF!!! Seriously....?? NOW Im committed, they are mounted on the rims. So.... It appears I have to hack away some sheet metal on a VIRGIN Dart to make them clear the inner fender, correct??? Which, in hindsight, doesnt surprise me...... Im just trying to do as little fuckery to this "Survivor" as possible, and granted, who really is going to crawl under my car, and point it out?

Awesome! As long as it doesnt have a FORCE Engine or a frikkin Volvo Penta. If it does get rid of them immediately r run the F outta them till they blow up, which is their usual MO.. Those engines will give u nothing but problems. If it is 4 Winns, NICE SCORE, they r good quality boats..... & hopefully it has a OMC outdrive...

Idk what is is, I've never had a boat or been much of a boat person. I'd love to get a boat one day to take the kids wake boarding and tubing though.

These are some old pictures he sent me when he first got it. He just painted the trailer.
