Hoping someone with an E body 4 gear can help me out. My buddies car has been apart for over 20 years. Lots of little parts list or misplaced. 72 Cuda 340 4 gear. The bell is there but no fork bracket. I have 1 from a 76/8/9 4x4 truck with 360. Cast iron bell. Do u think I can use that. It don’t have a part number or anything on it. I don’t have the fork either as some parts were sent to the restorers. Hopefully the fork is there. Can it be installed while the tranny is bolted to the engine? He wants tranny assembled to the engine when we send it up there. He is doing the install. Thanks very much for any advice. Kim.

...Can it be installed while the tranny is bolted to the engine?...
I've done it on my 11" B&B with LW 3 piece. Getting the fork to slide right in the three springs can be a challenge. Slow and tedious. If it's impossible it just takes longer.

Thanks Dave, We will have to try source the needed parts up here. Kim

Kim,
I am 100% positive I have an extra clutch fork bracket or two.
I had to change one out when I put the 4-speed in my duster.

Thanks, but I need it ASAP and it takes at least 2 weeks to get anything sent up here. Kim
Ok,
If you run out options I can ship you one, you have always treated me good on parts.
