Hey all! Need help with what is the best direct fit cooling radiator to put in my 67 Dart GT convertible. Just put in a 69 340 mild build engine, but the old radiator can’t hack it anymore. Car is in Florida, so no worries about running too cold.

Do some searching and find a 2 row/core rad with 1.25" cooling tubes, to fit your ride. These are superior to 3 or 4 row rads. They offer more surface area with the larger tubes, so more fluid is exposed to cooling. You should hold steady at 175-200, depending on highway or city driving.

If you end up going the aluminum rad route, I'm pretty sure that Cold Case is the only aluminum radiator made specifically for the 67-69 A-body. That means the OEM fan shroud fits as original.
For the rest, you'd have to figure out a way to mod the rad, shroud or both to fit properly.

And we have this forum to thank as several members helped supply original radiators, shrouds and testing so we could get it right. We also made them in BB and SB versions so you have the correct inlet outlet sizes available.

not to rain on your parade but Griffin radiator makes them as well.
Ha! Ok, I have nothing bad to say about Griffin. They too try and make their products fit specific models.

So I'll amend my statement. Cold Case is the only one in our price range. :)

Thanks all! Ordered a Cold Case from Summit. Will arrive this morning. Now the question is, what to run in it? 50/50, or distilled water with some thermal cure in it?

If you are in a year round warm climate, you can go down to 30/70 distilled. It will run a little cooler. Just make sure you use any brand that is green. No red.

if the old one is original, save it, sell it or trade it. '67 is unique and some people will want it just for parts.

I run 100% distilled water and a bottle of redline water wetter.. I'm not sure if Cold Case frowns on this or not for warranty purposes...
