My 727 blew up yesterday, gushing pink opaque trans fluid out the bottom of the bell house. That’s outside my scope of repairs, so I’ll have to get it rebuilt, or even replaced if it will be easier on me.

With all that being said, I have ALWAYS wanted a 4 speed. I’m wondering if there are any aftermarket 4 speeds available (similar to how TCI makes aftermarket 727s), and if so, are there conversion kits available?

Thanks in advance for any help here

Check out Brewer Performance. They have 4 speed kits. Clear down to the last nut, bolt, and clip!

That right there is “Service!”
Not many places respond.... and I can say first hand, with that kind of attention.

Sometimes that happens if the trans is overfilled or the fluid got hot. If it still drives and shifts........ jus saying.
I was able to get it up the driveway and on to ramps. I’m gonna get it on a lift, take the trans out and look at the front seal and see if it went bad. I have one of those lokar kickdown cables that I find tricky to tune, and I possibly may have been putting to much pressure on it and caused it to blow the seal. If it’s just the seal that’d be great, but still loads of work

I'm doing a 4 speed swap on my Duster build. I'm definitely not trying to talk you out of it, but be prepared to get your check book out! It's going to get abused.
