A lot of people have already forgotten or just flat don't give a **** anymore.

I remember this day well. It was C shift, the Day before my shift, A shift. I had 23 years on Tampa Fire Dept at that time. Later I would find out a NYFD friend would die. It’s hard to recall today without tearing up. It’s why I chose 9/11/2011 to retire. You can bet your ***, I will never forget this day!

I was pretty young when 9/11 happened, but I can still remember it vividly. We were celebrating my Dad's birthday when it happened. I also remember the unity that America had during that dark time and I think we need that back again today.

Sad day for sure. I live in western NY and drove to NYC two months after 9/11 on business . As I drove into the city the smell of burnt wire insulation was still in the air. Our office was still under repair. It was two blocks away, and they told me the windows had blown out and the ash in the building was knee high. Also the site of soldiers on street corners, in full gear with weapons was something I won't forget. There were posters everywhere, people looking for info about their loved ones who were missing.
May God grant them and their's peace, I will never forget. I don't know anyone who doesn't pause this day.

Thanks to all who have remembered!!!

Just an FYI... if you go to google there is a little tiny flag under the search bar... no link to a page about 9-11 or anything...it just says in tiny letters... remembering 9-11.

if you go to google on your phone or tablet... there is nothing to acknowledge this day!!!

google will celebrate gay day and other crap but not acknowledge the day Americans lost their lives on American soil!!!

WTF is this world coming to!!!

I work nights and when I woke up and looked at my phone, this is what I saw so I took a screenshot. Sobering day, but also one in which the bear was awakened. Unfortunately, I believe he has fallen back to sleep.

NEVER FORGET.

Thank you for posting.

I will never forget this date...and I will never forgive

I don’t know if it’s because I was a F/F or what but I’m amazed at how many times I look at my phone or the digital clocks in my house or my watch that I notice it saying 9:11.

Roy, the odd thing is over the past month I've been seeing it a lot. It's been very weird.

I was on active duty Air Force as a recruiting district manager. The Inspector General team had just begun a biannual inspection and I was at the Bristol, Connecticut recruiting office watching the inspector drill my recruiter. The Navy recruiter had a TV in the office and came to tell us after the second plane hit.

Headquarters called shortly after telling me to have all recruiters lock their offices and go home. It was several days until we went back to work. The inspection was cancelled. NEVER FORGET.

Any red blooded proud America who cherishes their freedom and the sacrifices that some gave. WILL NEVER FORGET!

I was a sophomore in high school and woke up to get ready for school that day. I remember seeing my mom sobbing in the living room as I walked out to pour a bowl of cereal and at that point only the first plane had hit. By the time I left for school, the second plane hit.

That was easily the saddest day of school for me. I remember my history teacher had the tv in the class set to Fox News and remember him saying "Here's your history lesson for today. We're going to go to war over this. It won't be a fast war, it'll be a long war". He answered questions we had and that was it. No other lessons. Mr. Bellevue was his name and he was a great history teacher, seriously made such an impact on me.

You bet your *** I'll never forget!

God Bless America!

I have a Dr appt so I'm home from work. History channel is playing 9/11 programs all day. Flight 93 came right thru Pittsburgh air space.
They call my parents generation "The Greatest Generation". I'm gonna call the next generation "The Selfish Generation".

My Dad had Pearl Harbor...…...He joined up in 1942
This was our Pearl Harbor.
My Brother and I were in the Army already. It changed our lives forever.
We will never forget.

That's pretty disappointing considering all they have done for other holidays...
