I wouldn't use the Mopar paint now for nuthin. The absolute BEST engine paint jobs I have EVER seen in my LIFE AND they last were all done with regular high quality automotive style paint. It won't cost much to have some mixed up.

'68- very early '69 340s were Industrial Red. Early-mid '69 began Turquoise.
And big blocks were mostly turqoise.
318/273 red
Slants truck yellow 60-61 and aluminium 61/62 then red, then blue
Hemi 2 diff oranges
Poly red,
rb 50's-60 gold

You find exceptions, but yep mostly like said.

Crummy versions of this paint turn green..
Back when I did spinman's 340...after it ran in some... it went green, manifolds went pinkish grey. Never buying that brand again. Duplicolor perhaps it was..
The mopar paint can be old and watery...priming makes it pop better but the factory didnt prime... so idk anymore lol

i believe late 440 was blue also but not 100% sure.
383 hp orange, 383 2bbl turqoise

Indeed. Mostly Mopars are more widely known for their street Hemi orange or Hemi orange paint from the 340 and 383/440 6 pak/426 hemi...and all that but people forget that they mostly came with turquoise or blue and yes the 440 was and 400 always as blue from intro 71 and I have a 70 340 and it was orange when I got it bone stock...and the 70/71 318's absolutely like you said.

I like Bill Hirsch or Por15's engine paint. Both are tuff as nails and simple to brush on....

And as I said, they were orange "from some time in '69 - onward". So what's your point?
Lmao, don't know any other language but english, but if you're an expert then as someone here once said. When the experts talk time to walk away.

What was called turquois for small blocks was very different from the turquois of the big blocks. The fact that it was called turquois has lead to confusion but it was more of a light to medium blue with none of the pale blue/greenish cast of the big block turquois.

I used the mopar engine paint I will get you the number off the can later. It lays down nicely and covers very well. I'm happy with it.
