Anyone here have restless leg syndrome ? OMG ran out the pills my doctor prescribed for me & the pharmacy is running behind. Wont get much sleep tonight lol Only relief is to get up & walk around.

You drink? Maybe a few shots before bed...I got a right hand that tingles and wakes me up if its not in a brace. I forgot my brace on a camping trip and couldn't sleep the first night so the second we killed an 18 pack of Oly between 2 guys and I did sleep that night.

mmm I have some home made apple pie moonshine

Kitty has had it. That's one reason she just had surgery on both her legs. The veins were not working properly. They go in with a heat element and burn the main vein that's not working and make it collapse. Then blood is rerouted to other healthy veins. So far, she's showing improvement.

I only get it in the evenings. At the end of the day when I sit down to relax or go to bed. Its very uncomfortable. Aching pain in my upper leg or some times both. I feel like I have to keep my leg or legs moving. Hard to explain but that's what my doctor says I have & the med they have me on works. I don't want to miss taking them. lol

Try magnesium oxide. I use it for nerve pain and restless legs and it works great.

EDIT: oxide, not citrate.

That's when Kitty got it. She use to kick the **** out of me in her sleep.

just might have to does come in pill form can you get it any where ?
Most stores (drug, grocery etc. ) with a good stocked vitamin selection should have it. Best thing is that if you take too much, it will just make you crap a little more.

Whoops... Mrs. Big John just reminded me it's Magnesium Oxide, not citrate.

Well just got a tall bottle of apple pie moonshine & started chugging. Made this batch a little strong lmao So if you don't hear from me for awhile (tonight that is) I got enough in me lol

lol that's good to know
She started using it on the suggestion of her doctor (really sharp doc too) and it helped her so I started using it and it helped me a lot. Everyone with the same issue that we've suggested it to has said it helps.

I am going to try it maybe it will help with my lower spine issues thanks

My Aunt had that and her Dr. told her to have a shot of whiskey or a glass of wine before she went to bed. She said it helped.

A banana every other day, and
at least a liter of milk every day.
Yeah that's part of why I'm 213 to 220/5ft9, depending on ....... when I weigh myself,lol.
Another part is the liter of pop, the half-liter of unsweetened pure California OJ., and/but the liter or two of distilled water doesn't seem to stick, lol. Well that's debatable cuz when I take off my socks at night, I can see the water slightly dammed up where the elastic was. My wife calls it edema. I say it's cuz all the salt she puts in my food. Ok that's not true anymore. She don't cook and I don't shake; so it must be the stinking take-out.....

Side effects?
Gambling and sex addiction.
Uhhh....Say WHUUUT ??
How the heck does that happen? Is the cure worth the side effects?
Yeah, I lost my house and my genitals look like they have been through a meat grinder but my legs are better now.

On and off and it’s off now thank the Lord!
The things I did to help were to basically have a work out on the legs only before bed. Stretching the muscles, work legs out, re stretch them and get to bed. This normally took care of 99% of the leg jumping. Though it is a PIA when your whooped from the day.

Now, once a get a jump or two, I just get up and stretch the legs. Happened last night in fact. I just stretched for a few minutes and laid back down with only two more leg jumpings.

I used to get it more than now - amazing how annoying it is...best thing to do for me is go to bed...gone when I wake up, but nothing else helps much when it starts - I think my pop used to take diazepam (aka valium) for it - I remember thinking it was funny when he got it...karma's a *****

ive tried about everything(meds) and havent had luck with any.i have learned to just deal with it after 30 years.

I used to have it pretty bad when I was a kid all the way into my 30's.

I pretty much willed myself to stop, and the less I did, the less I needed to do it.

I do still sometimes have leg position issues while sleeping.

Isn't magnesium citrate a fairly strong laxative?

No fun taking that expecting a different result.

Had it my whole life( I'm 71) When I was younger I would use a method where I would lie there and concentrate on relaxing my feet 1st, then up to my knees next after that I would usually fall asleep. It doesn't work for me any more so I just take Trazadone and a muscle Relaxer an hour before bedtime and sleep pretty good now.
