The Dumbest Thing I’ve Ever Done

Today… I did something dumb,

Okay, well, the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.

The price of gas and groceries keep on rising,

But in this day and age, I guess it’s not surprising.

With the virus still around, been in my house for months,

And with winter on the way, I’ll be here months more.

Some may call it cabin fever, but now it’s cabin crazy.

I’ve lost muscle mass, hell, you could say I’ve gotten lazy.

What used to be a fun day driving in the country,

Is now another dismal day, of cigarettes and laundry.

Used to drive my Duster all over the land,

Each day was worth living, damn near grand.

Now with the passage of time,

My life on hold, and I’m supposed to be in my prime -

I couldn’t help it.

I needed the cash,

I wanted to have enough money to play with,

and some to stash.

But now I regret my rash decision,

I wish I could reverse it, like a revision.

But I can’t. My heart feels like lead.

Today I traded my Mopar, for a Moped!

I didn't actually sell my Duster. I saw a moped doing 65 on the highway today!!! This just kinda popped in my head.

How about moving a women in & spending money on her for about a year & now she wants to move out. What a dumb ***

Hmm, says anything goes... whether this is funny or not depends on you. But I will try to fit in the box better next time, maybe...
By "box" I meant your house. You said you've been cooped up then you went out for a ride. I was joking that you need to stay inside the box (home) to stay out of trouble.

Ohhhh, LOL, but being cooped up is what is driving me nutso. lol. It is a half true story, but I would never sell my Duster unless it was the end of the world or something. It wasn't going out that caused me the problem, it was how long I have been inside and wearing a dang mask, and avoiding places. ugh

Man I'm sure glad that was just a joke!

Me too. I would feel like lead iffin' I sold her. Just spent $34k on her. Damn mechanic messed up the diff the last time it was there, won't be going back there again. I have been without her for 3 months on top of 3 years before that. I got to drive her maybe 2 weeks before I took it back for him to measure the drive shaft, and he broke the diff with an impact wrench. OHHHHHH I'm mad.

back about 94 sold a 71 cuda for 400 bucks and drove it to the man!

I "had" a 66 Charger 383, slightly modified. Drove it across the country running away from home. The upper "A" frame, and some tie rods bit the dust when I was making a U turn. Sold it to the junkman for $200!!! Cause I didn't have the title! Still feels like lead in the gut when I think about it.

Love your underdog concept. I think your right. She's got all the HP potential of a Charger, Cuda, Challenger or Barracuda, but not as popular. I spent $600 picking her up back 15 years ago, she did need to lose the /6 and everything else under the hood, and the drive train, well, and the front end, lol, but now she can put up a challenge to the "big boys" She is not as popular, but 100% Mopar, that's for sure!
