It's time to purchase an engine for my Duster build.

I am leaning towards a crate motor from a large engine builder, but I thought I would see if anyone has something they would sell.

Looking for a 408 stroker. The more complete, the better. But, I'll entertain all possibilities.

Must be willing to crate the motor and ship to Texas.

Thank you.

Yup. Blueprint. If I was gonna get a crate motor, instead of building my own, that's who I'd call. Make sure you go through @Johnny Mac to make sure he gets your forum price.

Blueprint is the way to go unless you want a custom build, or you want to save a few hundred by giving up customer support.

Just my $.02 after 5 years with my BPE408.

Thanks everyone for having my back! Have messaged with @jonn6464 several times. Happy to fix him up when ready.
I don't think you could buy the parts new, and set them on the floor in a pile, for what we sell the engine for. And even if so, I think the 30 month warranty, and the Dyno testing eats up any of those pennies!

the new BPC4085 based roller engines are beasts!
Chrysler Compatible Crate Engines

I don’t understand why a balanced dyno’ed engine would come with out a harmonic balancer
BPC4085CTC and BPC4085CTC DO come with balancers. The CT image needs updated.

However, to speak to that, since many do not understand how its possible. With our QC system, every component is balanced individually to be within spec. Its part of our process in both receiving parts, and during assembly. If every part of the assembly is within spec, including the damper. Then the overall assembly will also be within said balance spec. I assure you our standards are far tighter than any stock Chrysler, gm, or ford engine. Did they balance every complete rotating assembly on every 426 hemi sold? No. Same process. These are street engines. Not 9000 rpm, 1000 horse street engines.

We manufacture and dyno 50 engines a day. You would not believe the checks and balances we have in place. If it wasn't possible, or problematic, we wouldn't be doing it.

I`D BUY A SMALLBLOCK STROKER FROM U (BP) IN A HEARTBEAT -
BUT I DONT AGREE WITHYOU ON STREET HEMIS NOT BEING BALABCED FROM THE FACTORY , I HAD TWO BOTH WERE BALANCED , THOSE HEAVY STOCK HEMI TRW PISTONS DARN SURE NEEDED IT ! THE CRANKS WERE DRILED DURING THE BALANCING PROCESS JUST LIKE THE OTHER ENGINES.

It was a rough example. Forgive the inaccuracy. Replace 426 with 360, 440, 383, etc.
