Millennial Job Interview

-
Life is going to get very, very tough for a lot of people very soon.

Maybe she can sell her participation trophies or start a go fund me.

Put out a help wanted on indeed. Got 39 applicants. This gal is a great montage of the applicants. Even worse is the legal complications of NOT hiring an applicant. Imagine being sued for loss of income for not hiring someone totally unsuited? Retiring soon.

Millenial attorneys have to work too

yep, about right. And somebody somewhere is rich and they (the rich) OBVIOUSLY need to pay for their health care and college education, maybe housing too ???

Where's uncle Joe, I need a hug :D

My first thought was "that is awesome". Then as I thought about it more I realized, that is not awesome, it is true. This is very sad, the world is soon going to get very hard for some of these snowflakes. I'm afraid to imagine what the workplace is going to look like in the next 5-10 years.

When I first saw the title of this post, I wondered if the only question in the interview was going to be "can you breathe"? Lol

I think something is coming that's much, much worse than a poor job market.

My daughter got her masters in HR maybe 8 yrs ago. 2 years later she would go to host college job fairs looking for engineers and just shake her head. All these college kids would approach her thinking they should start out running the department, making $100k a year.

I'm not going to put them all in that category, I have met some that are pretty level headed, hard workers too.

My friends daughter got her degree in HR too, always thought it was a crock but they are really the last to get let go! The lawsuit would read "American with Disabilities act": She's vocationally challenged due to her low IQ, you must accommodate. her.

If I was going to hire engineers, I would go to the state colleges in farming states. Much better chance of finding kids that know how to work. If you could only hire farm kids that would be better.

I did heavy construction with my dad doing concrete since 5, and couldn't get a job anywhere after high school. Had to work for myself for a while before I could get a job anywhere else.

Did you give yourself a good review at assessment time?

When I was young and looking for a job old man said put your boots on go to the job site and ask the foreman for a job LIKE YOU MEAN IT. Worked for me I’m a red seal worked for both my boys also red seals. If your not scared to put out you’ll do fine. But if you really don’t want to work I’m sure our socialist gov. Has a program for you.

Similar here. Learned a lot of useful skills from the old man :D . Remember those "Affirmative Action" years? I was bypassed on 2 job applications after I aced their mechanical aptitude tests because I am not of the female persuasion. Took the apprenticeship test for the Operating Engineers and had 2 job offers before I was fully signed up with the Engineers. Retired @ 60 with a very lucrative pension from those skills acquired.
