Just got the Sanderson DD9 headers put on the block. Looks good to me.

So far so good...

The big test is to see how they fit in the car.... Make sure nothing hits....

Went with these because price, ease of fitment and I know shorties leave more room for pipes and linkages when I convert to manual trans someday. $360 to the door and they drop in with no banging.

Yeah, I did not do the ceramic coating until I know I don't have to ding them on the install

Boy their website is one hell of a mess!!! I could not even find the DD9 on there, and the application "clicks" are useless

Yeah, Sanderson doesn't have dd9 on their site, I only knew of it because I called them and they told me over the phone. Then they sent me an email link to Century performance as their distributor

Can we get an update on these headers? Did you get it in the car?
I apologize for the long wait, but here's the update. I just found out tonight that I may have been a case of mistaken identity. Going through some other people's posts on this forum I finally saw another picture of dd9, and it does not look like the ones I have. I think perhaps they sent me dd8 by the looks of things. I did get them to work, but having never seen a picture of what they were supposed to look like I just assumed that I was stuck working with what I had so I beat the crap out of them with a hammer, ground the steering gear box, and shimmed up the motor. In these three pictures, the shiny one is what I believe dd9 is supposed to look like, the second is what I got, and the third is what I had to do to make it fit.

Honest question, do you feel these headers will be an improvement over stock manifolds even after beating them with a hammer?

WTF!
Savings out the window. I'll buy Dougs.

Assuming you could even fit factory manifolds that came with the engine, they still flow better. I have zero headaches driving it, and it responds to a mashed pedal very happily. All the headache was just in putting the engine in and out 15 times with a hammer between each lift

Glad to hear it runs good!

Those dings will only hurt your pride. Gotta admit a big red flag went up when you said Sanderson told you on the phone they possible fit (?) but hey, they look better and cheaper than $500 Spitfires. You gotta go $$$ for the early A headers that 'drop in' and even that is just a chance although Hookers 5208 (?) do fit but are tight everywhere! (watch port size mismatch if your not running a 340 size head as there are port sealing issues between a 318 and a 340/360 port)
