Got the kick panels in today. Passenger side took 15 mins.:) Driver side took 45 mins. Yikes! :( But they look good.

I left the starter nested in the header that was wired to the side of the car and dropped the engine on top of them. So far it is working pretty slick

Finished making and routing the front end lighting harness. Doesn't look like much but it's a LOT of work! Slow progress but still moving forward.

My Autometer 3579 air-fuel gauge was poorly designed (probably by an offshore firm to be as cheap as possible). Replacements behaved exactly the same: if you don't wait with the key on until the O2 sensor warms up and then start the car, it will stay in warmup mode forever.
I experimented on the bench and found that it can get confused by the drop in voltage while cranking. So today I put a toggle switch in the dash (in the hole left by my recently removed choke pull cable). Now I start the car, then flip the switch to power-up the gauge. Again, bad design but I wanted it to match all my other Sport-Comp gauges. Some of which are over 30 years old and still working fine!

engine is back in...again! No drama with the headers, TQ, or the starter this time! Think I'll go hunting in the morning to celebrate.

Purchased new filter and breathers from Mancini went with a different look, took the better half for a country drive and lunch, bloody radiator started to leak from the core 12 months old custom made worked great but sprung a leak and drove the car there so they could check it out ,the shop who made it . 24 month warranty. They were really apologetic and are going to upgrade me to the 2 inch core from 1 1/2 inch . When your nice and understanding and don’t break balls good things come your way.
