Hi all. I picked up a 1969 Dart Swinger 340 Auto this summer. My first classic car and first Mopar but I’ve had the bug since I first rode in my cousin’s 1970 plum crazy Challenger 340 as a kid.

When I bought the dart, the prior owner had installed a Strip Dominator intake and a Holley 750 double pumper without a choke. We played with timing and the carb but couldn’t tune out a bog. Based on people’s advice here, I just swapped on an Eddy RPM Airgap Intake and Eddy AVS2 800 carb. What a difference! She’s up for winter hiding from the salt, so I’m now talking some interior projects.

Thanks! I’m in Southie. Are there any good local car shows or cars and coffees that you’d recommend?
I'm not familiar with anything in your area Joe and I'm not sure you'd want to travel as far as my area. I know there's been A Thursday night cruise at Fudruckers on rt 1 in Saugus. I frequent a cars and coffee in Newburyport and one in Hudson NH on Saturday mornings when they're active. All of the shows and cruise nights up here were cancelled this year. One of the good big ones is Skip's in Merrimac. There are a few others too. Liberty tree mall has a great one. Kitty's restaraunt in North Reading is another good one. Not as big but fun too. There are a bunch of smaller cruise nights almost every night of the week in surrounding areas when times change. Amesbury has a good show every Year as well as Newburyports invitation only once a year. I think that ones called cruisin' the 50's. We'll have to see how things turn out in the spring and hope we can get to more. We'll have to see if we can get to a few together.
Man, I love your car.

Welcome from the web foot state! You will find the members here to be very knowledgeable with answers to any questions and or opinions you may or may not want:lol: LOL.

I'm lucky enough to have my broadcast sheet and can report that my swinger indeed came with a V1W vinyl top and V8W stripe. It was built to Canadian Spec Y07, so maybe that's why?

Still has the original poverty spec black vinyl interior that is sadly starting to go. The guy or gal who ordered my car was not much for options--I've even got the vinyl mat instead of carpets.

Nice ! It may be a Canadian only thing . The order book for us shows no white top or interior on Swingers. My car was actually ordered R4 with black painted top .
