Federal Ammo

I watched that about an hour ago. Now I know why I can't find primers, lol.

I went to the Sierra store a couple weeks ago and when I was ringing out, I asked.

There's no shortages, there's no 'missing component', there's no conspiracy. It's simple supply and demand. Nothing more.

10 million new gun owners in 2020. And they're in a panic because they didn't stock up over the last four years like the rest of us should have.

And yeah, I'm low on primers, too.

10 million new gun purchases not owners. Glad I stocked up years ago.

I'm guessing that a large percentage of the 10 million new gun owners will never fire their weapons seriously or take a firearms course and aren't really into weapons. The majority of them will end up hoarding, selling or surrendering them later on. It's a panic buy because of the lawlessness going on.

Wait till the gun craze ends and/or the current generation dies off . Guns and ammo will go for pennies on the dollar.

I dont hate guns but there is some unfounded paranoia out there .
just sayin .....

i passed my conceal and carry in june. still no card. the fat boy from illinois has it all held up. there were 30 people in the class and almost all new to guns. i got ammo and a new gun but no c/c license. you have to be at the farm store right at 3pm on truck day to get any ammo. the same azzholes come in to buy it on those days. last gun show, brother-in-law said 9mm ammo was about $7 higher a box. no shortage of ammo, just people padding pockets.

I’ve owned a gun shop in Massachusetts for 26 years and I’ve never seen anything like this the man is right it’s simply a supply and demand issue

I don't shoot much anymore, but I did stock up "a bit" sometime during Oh'bomb-ho's little party. I did not realize things were quite this bad

We have finally been seeing some 223 but it goes quickly. Two of my friends did some loading this week but they started buying supplies severs years ago. I may buy some 223 when I see it available then it will push me to buy a gun that shoots them.

I've been paying too much for 9mm lately. It's nuts!

Currently hunting some 32ACP. I love shooting my Colt 1903!

This week I bought 2000 45 ACP once fired cases and 1000 9mm. Not sure I have enough primers to load them all at once, but that problem will go away eventually. I don't even own a 9mm anymore but figured when a good deal came up, better get it. If nothing else I can help my friends out. I've been looking at those Canik pistols. They get good reviews and the price is right. I still have a couple thousand .223 cases under the bench, and I cast bullets so I should be good to go for a while.

My concealed carry is a Springfield Armory Mod 2 9mm with multiple magazines and wherever I go, it goes. No paranoia, just reality that there are bad violent people out there showing themselves more boldly now and they're willing to hurt the elderly and children. I usually purchase 2 boxes a month so as to not dip into what I have stored away and also practice at my homemade range. Fortunately I haven't had to deal with anyone jumping on my vehicle and attempting to smash windows or pull me out of my vehicle or off of my motorcycle. My 12ga. side by side shotgun is for home as well.

Kinda unrelated to most of this post ; as a younger person , our family were all quaIl hunters , and all were quite good . We used to gang up and take hunting trips altho not far from home a lot . Fast forward about 30-40 yrs. , was working for a big time quail hunter =$$ , a friend and I decided to get together and hunt a little , WE started practicing on clay targets , and after being out of it so long , I couldn`t hit s--- We were talking about it after work one day in the office , my boss asked us what kind of ammo we were using , we answered ''federal '' , because it was cheaper , ,-- both using 12 gauges .
He SAID , throw that stuff away and go get remington shells , which is all we shot growing up. We did and the success was back , getting 3 birds on a covey rise again . Didn`t help my buddy , he was a city boy and couldn`t hit a quail in a pen .--------TRUE STORY !!

I figure with the price of 9mm these days, I should trade some for a Gen II Hemi. What do you think? 500 rounds for a complete 426 Hemi sound about right?

What’s spent brass going for these days? I stopped reloading a while back when we moved and I didn’t have room for my reloading bench but am sitting pretty on spent brass, several thousand cases of each. Plus I still have tons of components sealed up.

Around here, one dollar per pound for 9mm (10 pounds is between 1000 and 1100 cases) about 3.75 per pound for .223 or 5.56 (about 75 cases per pound).

So 1 cent per 9mm case and .5 cent for .223/5.56.

I need some .45 ACP large primer cases. :D
