so need exhaust for a 1970 duster 340 going to use factory manifolds. I can not find anybody who makes exhaust system for this car in stainless steel, called tti no dice, waldrons no dice, magnaflow not available, same with flowmaster. would like to step up to 2.5" with the "x" pipe. any ideas?? i`m a one and done kinda guy i know the aluminized metal will rust, maybe not in my life time but it will rust. if it was 200.00 no biggie but for the money there asking good god should be stainless steel. thanks

Yes, we do have a nice A-body system that was designed using a duster. However, we don't have the manifold downpipes. You'd have to have those made locally.

Also, if there is anyone in the southeastern PA area, with a duster or dart, we'd love to make those downpipes.

your more than welcome to mine after i get the new exhaust.
I looked and saw you are from Iowa! :( We need to have the car in our shop. We need it for a couple of days to make a pattern. And then again about a month later after we've produced the first production samples. Iowa is a long trip!

i have a 70 dart and am only an hour away. it has the early 340 manifolds on it and a full TTI system on it now but i'm sure we could arrange something. it drones way too much right now. its also a column shift car. be nice to have a system that fits without having to modify it to work with column shift.

Wow. Really nice Dart! We would love to take a look. My only concern is the column shift. Every time we get a column shift car, it makes it almost impossible to fit a 2.5" pipe through that Driver side area. Barring that issue, we could get a nice 340 manifold downpipe set made for all you guys.

As far as the TTI kit, it looks clean. So we could put it back on when done and add quieter mufflers for you or we could do an entire Pypes system and you could sell that TTI kit.

Can you send me your contact info? I will have our product manager call you to see if we could arrange something. thanks!

My TTI last for 17 years, still in pretty good condition. The need for stainless steel system is given when you run it with catalytic converters, salty and wet conditions or in short trips. Stainless system have the tendency to break close to the welding seams, especially when the welder the pipes didnt fill with welding gas.

well it has 2.5" tti kit on it.. had to ding the pipe a bit to clear the linkage. would be easy to do in a pre production type of thing..

not against a pypes kit but it would nee good looking turn downs at the rear valance....

I know a company that has some nice stainless tips and turndowns! ;) I'll wait to get your contact info and we can go from there.

Hmmm. I had forgotten all about this. After I have my information I never heard back from anyone.

Waldron's makes 409 st. st systems. I recently bought one for a 71 Satellite 400 . At least they used to.

TTi custom bent a complete exhaust system out of 304 stainless steel from manifolds back to the tailpipes. 304 will not rust unlike 409.

Welding stainless steel exhaust pipe must have the air purged from the inside when welding. Otherwise, it will corrode from the inside and crack. Had big problems in the Experimental Aircraft scene from a vendor that didn't do that. Junk cracked exhaust.

CCAS, I still have my OEM 340 tailpipes for 1969-1970 340/383 A body. And the front section for the 69 Barracuda.
