So by now everyone who knows me on fabo and all my relatives know that I'm searching for a lada.

In poking around youtube I discovered an interesting fact about a popular Russian car.

The volga gaz 24. These puppies came with a 2.5 L 4 cylinde however, avaliable to the KGB only was the same car with a 4.5L V8. Just try to outrun the KGB kommrade, this was the fastest car in Russia at the time.

Totally badass

Anyone know of any other unique and usual cars from anywhere in the world?

Volgas have a reputation similar to Yugos ...lol Notice that it could not spin the wheels in the rain !

We had the only one in Iowa in 1975! I have some old 8mm silent movies with us with it in Mazatlan.

There is a movie with this and my mother before I was born....Renault 8 I think

It's from here! Mom made me wear a purple and yellow plaid polyester 3 piece with yellow points and drive us to church in this fish bowl... still have emotional scars !!

honestly, anything that would have competed in rally cross during the 80s and 90s was pretty interesting

just a few highlights

and of course (not a rally car, but got treated as such...) my first car, Citroen BX
this thing was ahead of its time, fiberglass hood and fenders, factory airride suspension...in the winter it would take almost 10 minutes to get her out of the weeds

If I can ever afford one, this will be my "unusual" car from "around the world".

Well. I wasn’t expecting that as your choice. But then again, I was always wanted a Jag XKE 2+2 or a Triumph TR6. Go figure.

Well you know I'm also a Ford guy, so it ain't much of a stretch. Plus, the 351C-4V happens to be my favorite Ford engine.

1967 Toyota Century. To me, the car looks a little bit like an early sixties Chrysler Imperial. Not exactly, but kind of. Also, check out that engine!

The Toyota “Hemi” you never knew about—until now!

Search for 3V, 4V, and 5V Toyota for some really cool engine info, pictures, and builds.

They also made 4 cylinder Hemispherical engines called 2TC and 3TC. I found a 2TC engine in a Toyota Corona some years ago and had no idea what is was, but had to have it.

That's as good as it got for the Cleveland. I have a '70 M code engine in my spare bedroom.
Nice. I can only wish I had one. lol Back before they were gold, I had a buddy who had a 71 Boss Mustang. Surprised a lot of people. Nobody knew what they were.

They would have been real hellraisers had Ford not used retarded cam timing. They had real potential.
