First Covid-19 shot

I had the Wuhan China Covid-19 virus the last week of February 2020. I had 10 of the 14 symptoms listed by the World Health Organization. I have been healthy since then even after being exposed to some people later in the year who were infected. I am an active 65 year old without any health issues. I will not get the vaccine since the antibodies still seem to be present and I am still taking supplements to boost my immune system (1000 mg Vitamin C, Zinc twice a day, and Z-pac if available).
My 5 older siblings, who range in age from 68 to 76 have not had the virus and they are not getting vaccinated. None of them have any health issues regarding lungs or compromised immune systems. My 68 year old sister is an RN and she has everyone on the supplements to boost the immune system.
One sister-in-law is currently in the hospital ICU suffering from the Wuhan virus and is intubated. She is 63 and has had COPD for quite a number of years. She was not high on the California vaccination list so we really don’t know if the vaccine would have prevented her from getting the virus.
My 73 year old brother had his 89 year old mother-in-law become Wuhan infected and hospitalized. She had suffered a stroke two years ago. The doctor treated her with hydroxychloroquine as a last ditch effort as she was near death. She fully recovered and is home.

I offer this information to try and help everyone who is struggling with the decision to vaccinate or not.
Just remember:
Not everyone who is exposed will become infected
Not everyone who is infected will need to be hospitalized
Not everyone who is hospitalized will die.

I wish you all good health.

I have no desire to start a conflict here. However, Mr. Henry "Hank" Aaron passed away at age 86 from natural causes having been in frail health for some time.
Suppose it's just a coincidence then, although there are many people who aren't being allowed to receive the vaccine due to health concerns.

Got mine today at noon, nothing yet 7-1/2 hours, got my fingers crossed. Modera, expecting a shot like the ones we got when kids, never felt a thing, I had looked away then looked back to see if she had actually shot me. Literally no feeling. Second one in a month 3/3
But my nuts are swollen and growing hair fast... lol

That is great info - thanks
On the other side of that coin.
25,000,000 have been infected with covid-19
2,500,000 have died from covid-19
Over 400,000 have died from covid-19 in the USA
I think I will still get my second shot on 2/12
My motto has always been "a better life through science". I would have been dead a long time ago had I not placed my faith in our Medical Community.
Stay safe everyone

The medical profession is not the problem it’s the political one. Guess what, there are dumb *** doctors out there who hook their snout to the tail in front of them.

In regards to the other side of that coin it is heartbreaking for the family when someone dies.
When it comes to a virus, the science is not all that certain. For instance: my first wife died at 34 years of age from the AIDS virus. She contracted it from a blood transfusion during an emergency c-section that delivered our first daughter 6 weeks early. She lived for 6 years with odd ailments until her immune system had been compromised enough to actually necessitate a test for the virus. Two years later my wife died after horribly suffering the ghastly affects of that disease. I and my two daughters did not become infected even though she and I had unprotected sex and she became pregnant with our second daughter while infected. Science cannot explain why we were spared.
During her illness and after I read every technical paper written about AIDS that I could find. I have a degree in Chemistry and BioChemistry. Science failed to produce a vaccination. Some vaccines killed the virus in the test tube but not in live animals (monkeys). Science could not explain why. A friend of mine’s father contracted the AIDS virus a month before my wife did. He is still alive today. He and my wife took the same therapeutic regimen. Science cannot explain why it worked on him but not on her and all of the others like her.

The decision to vaccinate is up to each individual. You have decided to do it. I hope it works and that you suffer no side affects from the vaccine.

If someone decides not to receive a vaccine I will not call them “irresponsible” or “selfish”. I understand the mechanism of mRNA that is being used in some versions of the vaccine. I prefer not to be injected with someone else’s genetic coding fragments. I have already shown to myself that my system will produce antibodies in sufficient amounts to allow me to recover from the Wuhan virus.

Peace.

I am sorry for your loss, no one deserves that.
Please note that in my original post that we respect everyone's opinions.
The vaccine may not be for everyone. For me it was the lesser of two eveils.
Stay safe

I was taking all the vitamin crap too, still had the virus about a month ago . a nurse told my wife not to take zink longer than 5 months too !

I’m still on the fence about getting the vaccine as I don’t like some of the things I’ve heard about it. Already having coronavirus at thanksgiving I guess I’m good for around 90 days but that’s coming up quick. Even now I have almost zero smelling ability and less than half my taste back. Hmmmm.

My wife, Kid and I are in the same boat. the wife got her first dose a week ago, much like all of her co workers they all got sick the following day.
after 1 day, it passed. with my pre existing conditions and her repeated exposure to sick people, we decided its not worth the risk for us.
if getting these shots, gets us back to some form of normal faster Im all for it.
I don't ever want to experience that crap ever again......

I just don’t like some of the things I hear about it. Honestly I just don’t trust out government right now and may take my chances.

Don’t know if this is really true

24 hours after the first shot and nothing yet.. fingers crossed

Not trying to freak anyone out but so far close to 287 people have died so far from having the vaccine shots, many of those were in 48 hrs of reviving a shot...and that number is expected to rise, but of course the news won’t cover any of this but do your research it’s real and pretty sure I can provide a link. I had the Wuhan flu and ended up in the hospital for 4 days, my wife is a RN and has done lots of research, nobody here is getting this shot in our house. Everybody is different and this is affecting people in different way, sometimes the shot causes the body’s immune system to go crazy and it attacks stuff it shouldn’t and that’s when bad things happen. She understands this better than I do so I’ll try and get a link from her if anyone is interested

Got my 1st shot early January, arm was sore, tired, lasted about 2.5 days. Got my 2nd shot 2 days ago, arm very mildly sore .5 day, feel good otherwise. Stay safe out there.

“Very mildly sore” ??

UPDATE
Mary and I went and got our second Pfizer covid-19 shot this afternoon right on schedule. All went well, no problems, no waiting lines, no issues and so far no side effects.
Stay safe everyone

I have also read article after article that most of these cases have also not been completely investigated as of yet to prove or, disprove the vaccine played a roll in these deaths. The other issue with this VEARS site is that it does not track these reports by name of the victim or, person experiencing side affects so, some of this can be reported multiple times when, in in fact it was only one occurrence. We may never know the real numbers of any of this. I have my 1st shot coming on the 18th and, I'm going to trust science as I have asthma and diabetes. I have had pneumonia 9 times, the last time almost killed me. I'm 46, active, and not over wieght but in my mind if I got Covid I just don't know what would happen. My wife got her 1st shot about a week ago and, other than a sore arm she has been fine. Sometimes it feels like a no win situation.....Fingers crossed..

I got my first shot of Moderna on December 28 and the second round January 30.

I'm still alive and I never had any side effects except a sore arm where the needle poked. I have never had covid and hopefully never will.
I'm 34 and worked around a ton of covid positive people all of 2020. Not sure how I never got it but I have been tested over and over and negatory every time. I was never one to get sick often even before this mess.

Wife got her first shot yesterday and no issues. I received my first shot today and so far I feel fine and no sore arm. We are 72 and we are happy to get it this early. Stay safe every one..
