340-416 what is better carb or did 90% track 10% street
I would go with the one that you have the most knowledge of, fits in your budget, and will be the easiest for you to tune.340-416 what is better carb or did 90% track 10% street
and keep a points distributor in the trunk, so that if you get hit by an EMP, in a couple of minutes, you can still have a getaway car,lol.heck on the NWO90% track...
...carb
Reliable, fixable, makes more HP than common plug and play TBI setups, will always be able to get parts for them....
wouldn't yiu need and old time voltage regulator and what about the ECU wouldn't the EMP knock those out as well /and keep a points distributor in the trunk, so that if you get hit by an EMP, in a couple of minutes, you can still have a getaway car,lol.heck on the NWO
I don't know anything about EMPs, except that it is said that an EMP will knock out anything electronic that has electricity running thru it or power to it, at the time of the pulse. So yes the electronic regulator and ECU would be toasted.wouldn't yiu need and old time voltage regulator and what about the ECU wouldn't the EMP knock those out as well /
EMPs are very rare and very real.I don't know anything about EMPs, except that it is said that an EMP will knock out anything electronic that has electricity running thru it or power to it, at the time of the pulse. So yes the electronic regulator and ECU would be toasted.
But
a points distributor does not use the ECU, and
you may have noticed that a good working regulator is not required to make or keep a car running; it will start and run just fine with the thing unplugged. However, without the charging system working, the battery will eventually get low enough to either not start the car, or not keep it running. You can get around that by full-fielding the alternator with the engine running, from time to time, to maintain the battery at full or near full charge.
But if the EMP takes out the alternator (not likely IMO), then yur walking.
I'm still having a hard time believing that an EMP can exist, or that it can do large scale damage if it did. But then; I do believe in;
giants and monsters, talking donkeys, special delivery by whale, and dead men walking, so .................
TQ is a great carb i got the street demon 850 a sort of tq looking carb works wellI love my thermusquad! Sitting pretty on top of a Victor 340 intake on my hot 360 it scoots from 0 to upper rpms with no hiccups!! Just bam!
i agree my 340 ran better with the orig AVS than the holley that replaced it . plus having the orig carb just feels betterA well tuned carb is a lot cheaper and runs just as good, I have a carter AVS and runs flawlessly and also gives me a good feeling that I kept what the car was born with
