Right up front, this isn't a for sale thread (and can't be one or the thread will be deleted)

I'm moving forward with swapping an 8HP70 into my duster later this summer/fall. Still working on the details. Car currently has a 727 that I built in 2018. It has about 50 miles on it, and drives/shifts fine.

I'm looking for some feedback on what people think is a fair price. I'd be willing to sell the trans without the converter/driveshaft and sell those separately (after the trans is sold)

Billet front drum and retainer
A&A Ultimate Sprag
Alto Reds/Steels in both Clutch packs (5/4 with full thickness steels)
Rigid Red lined Front band
Red lined Low/Rev band
4 pinion planetaries
Rollerized rear support
Billet 4.2 Lever
Billet rear piston
HD Band Strut
Lightened Sun Gear Shell
A&A RMVB w/ Low Band Apply
Deep Steel Pan w/ billet filter extension (mopar one sucks)

I also have:

9.5" Dynamic Converter with the same 50 miles, built to stall to 4200 behind my aluminum headed 416" SB.

3.5 x .125 Aluminum Driveshaft from Driveshaft Specialists. 1350 Yoke, Spicer U-Joints. Measured 48-11/16 for my 727/8-3/4 combo. Same 50mi

I'm trying to do this portion of the build smarter than I did the rest, so I'm going to make a budget (gasp) and figure it all out in advance. That includes the cash back from selling the 727/Accessories.

Summit sells TCI street transmissions starting at about $1200 but they are just stock rebuilds. Their performance transmissions are $2200+. Those prices don't include converters.
It looks like yours has some nice pieces in it and is proven to work fine. Yours has a converter and driveshaft as well. I think $2000+ would be a good place to start.

It’s only worth what someone’s willing to pay for it at the time your selling it. Having said that. some people have deep pockets so maybe. I buy 727’s for 50.00 and build it with a 150.00 kit. Sometimes a bolt in sprag or billet servo’s are in order. You have some nice parts in yours but I’m afraid they are not in high supply and demand right now. I sometimes see rebuilt ones for 500.00 and they don’t sell fast. The local market plays a big role in price. Back in New England people pay good money for Mopar parts, here in Georgia your likely to trip over a 727 in someone’s front yard.

Dont shoot the messenger, but to me it sounds like you have a ~$5,000.00 investment, that you will likely get around $2,500.00 for. Actually, if it were for a big block and I needed one, i would be very interested and i think others will too. BTW, I see some may say "thats stuffs everywhere" but I feel your pain if you paid 500-700 for a retainer, 175 for a sprag, 750 for a converter and on and on, but that's why we build stuff to use, not to sell. GL /my 2 cents, Lefty71

Difficult part about selling a transmission that has mileage- it’s not a fresh rebuild and it was behind a built engine is how do you know WHAT shape it is really in.

Ask what you feel you need to get for it not what we think it’s worth. Ask 20 people and get 20 different prices.
My money is on $1500. But I don’t really know you, how you drive or drove that trans and your level of perfection. Just going by the quality of parts listed and it’s a 727.
I hope to help and not muddy the water.

I watch that Precision Transmission YouTube channel a lot, and the thing that I've seen many times on that channel is expensive parts put into transmissions which fail anyway because of improper assembly. So I would factor in somebody knowledgeable's labor($) to take it apart, assess what mistakes have been made, and reassembling it.

Mileage is break-in time for the motor only, but it's a fair point. Something to keep in mind when the time comes.

How many frictions in the direct pack?

That's definitely a take on this situation. If you were the buyer I guess the best I could offer is to drop the pan/vb and pull the pump and drums out. I'm certainly not going to pay someone to rebuild my just rebuilt transmission. Bold of you to assume there are mistakes based on a youtube channel dedicated to showing off mistakes.

I apologize. It was poorly worded. But how does a buyer really KNOW if the builder knew what he was doing, let alone all the parts claimed installed are in fact installed? The pan can be dropped, but to see much more would take extensive disassembly to confirm most of the builder/seller claims.
No question, the parts list shown is extensive and very expensive. But, again, it's a big unknown for the potential buyer.

No worries, it rubbed the wrong way but is still a valid point. I'm thinking that a "local" sale might be the best for everyone. I have no issues pulling it apart real quick and allowing a buyer to have a look at the internals to verify the list. That's hard to do shipping it vs someone coming to pick it up. Thanks for the feedback.

Did these posts help u come up with a value? Kim

They did Kim, I appreciate the feedback from everyone. I think I can get enough back out of the transmission to not feel bad about the whole thing. I plan to offer it by itself, or combined with the converter/driveshaft later this summer once I've made more progress on the 8spd swap.
