Stop in for a cup of coffee

Generally all synthetic /alkyd enamels will be fine, once fully cured 2 to 3 weeks is my guideline.
Oil based primers can be cut with urethane grade reducer too or xylene and acetone.
Many I know will use rusty metal primer, followed by fillers and urethane primer surfacers on top.
When in doubt test a small area, if primer ain't fully cured or solvents too aggressive can and will bubble.
Good luck
I think for me, I’ll just try to match everything to be the same base type. Being a rookie and all

I’m thinking of going with gasser green

Finally got gas pedal in buddy’s truck. Now woking on seat pedestal.
Says he wants to build a steering wheel. This should be interesting. I think we can use his original, and knock the plastic off, and build a wood ring. Could be fun.

Best one I ever saw it was a tribute to the original owner..
Center horn button was the guys glass eye. Sounds creepy but it looked really cool.

I think I like this color better, but with the name Anti-freeze Green, I think that might be a bad omen and curse the car for life.

Getting ready for my first cup of coffee ever in the state of Kansas. Then off for pancakes with Leadfoot and '73red-duster. 1450 miles to get from home to Dodge City Kansas.
You might be going right past me if you going down I-70. I'm in Topeka.

@Mopar Tim maybe you’ll know this, if I wanted to duplicate this paint job on my truck, would I spray the white first, then tape it off and spray the red?

Yo Frank, what's on the agenda for the day ?
Dont do much in the evening, but my buddy Ron came over with his cousin Erv. I brought my wood lathe in and Erv made a pastry rolling pin.he likey woodworking. Good at it too

and Ron and i managed to get a gas pedal connected to the Vortec,i had to weld in a bracket under dash, without lighting up the carpet or firewall insulation.
And bucket seats are going in tomorrow.

Other buddy Dwaine lit his truck on fire, topping off transmission and spilled atf on very hot exhaust manifold. He got it out without any damage to truck. Think its running hot.
