Working on an 02 Jeep GC. 4.0 with 42RE. Complete rebuild, valve body updates, and new convertor. Air checked both servos and clutch packs before installing valve body. All is fine. Shift kit is the Trans-Go Jr. Has manual low, but, no reverse. Has second gear. Third and o.d.Put gauge on that servo and the pressure is waay low. Like 50 in low, 75 to 100 in reverse. I've checked the case for cracks. Had valve body back out to double check my work. Air checked again with trans in vehicle. Everything hits/moves. Did all the other pressure checks as well. All were at low end of spec. Oil pump gear clearances all checked good. Had the o.d. unit back off to check all clearance there too. All good, nothing fried. I'm frickin stumped. What say the trans experts in FABO-land?

Check the reverse boost valve to be sure it is free, check that there isn't a checkball restricting the separator plate feed hole for reverse. You can actually leave the check ball out of that part of the casting for more reverse apply oil.
