I bought this 1954 truck from someone who had taken it apart to start a restore. I am piecing it back together. There are some nuts and bolts missing. Can someone please tell me what size bolts i need to go from the cab to the front fenders?

Wow, whatever fits. If you are going to put that back together you are going to need some knowledge and a lot of common sense.

They are guaranteed to be US type thread, and likely USS coarse thread, so that should narrow it down to "what size?" 3/8, 7/16. 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 3/4 ??

I would do a search on line and see if there is a service/parts manual out there for your year and model. I bet there is. IMHO it should be the first item to try and obtain before starting a restoration. BTW...good find, cool truck!

I'm not familiar with the Dodges that year, but I am the Chevy trucks and they used a PILE of fine thread bolts and nuts.

My 51 uses 5/16” fine thread. Inner skirts used u-nuts. Its all fine thread. Some bolts around rad support are 3/8”. Also fine thread.

Oh, bolts from inside cab to fender brackets are 3/8”.

Parts manuals on p15-d24.com
There is a truck section, and part way down page is a list of manuals, and there is a list of vendors. Dont know if vicsdodgegarage.com is selling for 53’s yet but he was talking about it a year ago.

Now you KNOW uncle Joe would want to take those two spares you worked so hard for a redistribute them to people who don't have any, nor deserve any
Im saving them in case someone needs. And is willing to pick them up. Sorry, Rob.

There is a guy on assface with a shitload of pilothouse parts.

If you want i have two fender and I'll check in the morning, but i believe they are 3/8 course thread.

KingSuper-
If you are close to Seguin, TX, John’s Salvage had the remnants of one you could look at/possibly get some parts from.
