I am trying to help my dad car hunt for a completed or nearly complete car in Alberta.

He isn't looking for anything specific he's mostly a ford guy Torino's Fairlanes, Galaxies but he's also entertaining 60's Impalas and Mopar is ok too he looked at a Valiant Convet. with a 273 but it was junk.

If anyone has a lead lemme know!

Please let me know what years and price range he's looking for, i have several project and parts cars, e-mail me at tzimmer9@telus.net I will send you or anyone interested the pics. I have mainly 68-75 a-bodies, prices are reasonable, I want to sell off the excess and restore a few to keep, I'm selling to finance the restos. I live in Lethbridge, Alberta and the cars are in south east B.C.:D

Well he's willing to pay the right price for the right car, no parts cars or major projects. Something turn key or almost, he delt with a place in BC called CAT restoration bought an original 69 Merc Cougar 351 Cleveland was told rust free etc etc had some very nice pics had it railed out here and it was a lump, I could put my head through the passanger floor, he had to fight the guy for his cash... Who it turns out isn't even a licenced dealer in BC.

He is a mechanic so he's ok with engine work but NO body work, Like a I said mostly a Ford guy but he respects all brands and wants something to drive and tinker with.

I think he misses all the cool cars from his teen years.

Hey
I'm lookin' for a 1969 Dart GTS 340 4 speed or a
70/71/72 Demon/Duster 340 4 speed.

Got anything?

i know the feeling i bought a orange 1974 dart sport from CAT restorations supposed to be a profesional restoration. the quarter panels were attatched with sheet metal screws. the floors were patched with sheet metal and tar.

it looked good in the pictures he sent us but when it got here it was junk!

I will talk to my dad and see if he would be willing to sell his car. he has a 1976 scamp with a 340 in it. i think it has around 70,000 original miles. it is completely rust free everywhere. i can send you pics of it undeneeth is like new.the paint job in febuary cost $5000. i think he has about $17,000 into it. i think he would sell it if he could get that for it. We are located in saskatchewan.

The 340 has a Fresh rebuild 0 miles 10.5 to 1 factory compression ratio, 340 sixpack cam, X heads it is just about done being installed new intake, carb, headers, msd ignition, rebuilt 904 tranny, 8 1/4 rear with 3.23 gears.new dual exhaust 2 1/2 mandel bent. original interior new tires on original rims. Factory Air!!!

All original metal on this car

Failing finding anything local you could try Auto Trader http://www.canadatrader.com/search/advancedSearch.aspx
Search Dodge and I noticed there's a 68 Dart for sale in Saskabush, maybe near you.

Canner let me know about the scamp that would prob be up his alley.

As far as CAT goes I hope you went after the crook. My parents did and found out he has no licence to even sell cars he's a curber appearing as a dealer!

Complain to the B.C Motor vehicles department and auto trader my parents did.

The guy was bounceing cheques left right and center to they called the RCMP on him for cheque fraud too I think they scared him a bit.

He is currently trying to set up shop in Edmonton when he does I plan a visit.

In the end they got most of their money back short of shipping charges for Sea Rail.

I can have my parents e-mail you if you need any help.

I think the pic was photo shopped it was billed as a ready to drive rust free original paint etc etc

Showed up you couldnt barely drive it off the rail car as the wheel offset was so much it rubber the fenders, there was a hole the size of a football through the passenger floor boards, neither door would open without beating it, the interior which was "all original very clean" was filthy there was no vinyl left on the buckets the radio had been hacked out no working gauges.

The engine was original all right... I dont think it'd been tuned up since the 70's it ran like a pos missed bad but again was told how it ran great with lots of power.

The car had been rear ended creased the trunk lid bump and tailight panel and someone spaybombed it to hide it not to mention that both rear quarters where bondo'ed and spayed but to see the pic it was beautiful and shiney no real damage.

I know a guy here in town that I swear knows where every old car in Western Canada and the Northwest States is. If you give me a name and contact I can pass it on to him. I got my 68 cuda from him and he made the deal with a hand shake. Found out later that he was offered twice as much as we had settled on but he told the guy he couldn't deal because we had already made a deal with me and he shook my hand on it!

Old School kinda guy!

I remember seeing that car on his website when I was living in BC and shopping for a car. It looked pretty good in the pics... of course, all of his cars do right? :p

Everything is for sale for the right price!!

Has he figured out more of what he is looking at yet?

Hi Tom.

Nifty! Would he know some places to get some parts? I'm building a '69 Dart. I'm looking for a couple of smallissh peices, although a lil hard to find. PM me?

{Sidenote-actually I'll be in the Hat for the next four years coming fall. College. Dunno whether or not the car will come with, i doubt it. lol.}
