Okay, us NW'ers know how crappy the weather has been.

I was stuck at home for a good portion of it and did a lot of eating and drinking, thus creating more and more garbage to dispose of than usual. Well, Friday the 26th was the second friday in a row that the garbage truck didn't come by. I understand the first friday, as it was horrid out, but is it because its the day after x-mas that they didn't show? The roads look fine.

Am I the only one experiencing this because I live in the boonies?

On a side note, a branch broke at my parents and blew a power line and their house caught on fire. They put the fire out and called the Fire Department and power company. The fire department never showed (not that they needed to necessarily, but they said they would come take a look) and it took three days for the power people to come out. I am really glad this shitty weather is finally coming to an end.

Well We live in downtown Kirkland and they missed us last week, our garbage days are Mondays so we will see.

Same here in Marysville, tomorrow is our pick up day. Guess we'll see if they show up. Had to go shovel a place out on the side of the road to get the cans out there. Roads are clear for the most part, but slush is built up about 14" high on the roadsides. Good riddance snow!!!!!!

Our service is always delayed a day on the weeks with a holiday, so our normal Friday service was scheduled for Saturday here. We did miss the week before. The trucks couldn't have made it down the street that day.

They managed to get our garbage but my recycle bin hasn't been emptied in 3 weeks. They better damn sure credit me for missed pickups because they have no trouble charging me when I DON'T put a can out. Jack-Asses.

You get fined if you don't recycle? Wow.

Our guy here throws half of the stuff in the recycle bin on the lawn if he doesn't feel like dealing with it. He's REALLY picky about what he takes.

Go easy guys:-D,here were definitely putting in some hours to get things done, not too mention we dont get paid for the time off.

God, I don't miss living in Kitsap county. "Kidnap county, come on vacation and leave on probation."

I don't care if you're from McNeil Island,. That's Funny.....and sadly so true.

"McNeil Island, a place that any man can goto if he wants to learn how to weld on a ferry boat." lol........:angry7:

I fell lucky now to here you guys talk. We have a local dump. I just load the truck up and go when I need to and it is free.

Free??? what I gotta pay 20 bucks just to go there and then they weight you to find out how much you dumped and tack on some extra...

There is no garbage collection on New Years Day,Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If the holiday lands on a week day, than all garbage routes that would normally be carried out on or after the holiday are delayed by one day.

Welcome to FABO! I've got to ask a question. What made you decide to revive a seven year old thread about trash collection to make your first post?
