An old timer told me years ago that gasoline is safe to use on the ground because it evaporates or dissolves before it can reach the water table.. don't know how true that is but it's been my go-to weed killer ever since

For what it's worth if you are looking for examples, I'm running a 440 in a 69 Cuda with .890 NOS bars.. ( I believe that's what came in a factory big block a bodies) front sway bar and 16:1 manual box with manual disc brakes conversion. I absolutely love how the car handles it feels really good...
I shortened an 8¾ housing from a B body myself (then save your A body housing)and ordered axles from Dr Diff for like $300 been hammering on it with 500+hp 440 with no issues so far

So the wheels are 0 offset so I think the backspacing is something like 4½ in the back and 3½ in the front but don't quote me on that.. the rear is a b body 8¾ shortened to 55½ inches overall with Dr diff axles and front and rear disc brake kits (which I couldn't be happier dealing with him...
You will have to notch the drivers side mount pad for oil pump clearance (Be sure to box it back in for strength) I used conversion mounts from Al's Rapid Transit on ebay. Everything fit really well.
