Yes, I know. However, if the thermostat is closed, the water the sensor is reading is just what is left over in the top hose and won't be the engine temp. Travis

Wouldn't the thermostat need to be above the sensor? If the adapter is above the thermostat, then the water temp being measured by the sensor isn't really the engine water temp until the thermostat opens, right? Travis

Hi Charrlie_S, As Dana indicated above, you would need to turn the O/D off when towing, and therefore would not get any additional gas mileage from the O/D when towing. Also, you could lose some gas mileage when towing due to the additional weight from the O/D. Trust me, when I repeat Dana's...
