25 years ago I parted out a 1968 Formula S fastback that was sitting in a field. I saved many of the rear interior parts including the rear windows and the rear window stainless (I actually have 2 of them). I thought I would get around to selling them sooner - but life happens. I have everything...
I refinished the 340 out of the 68 FB Formula S donor and put in a Mildon pan. I cleaned it up and repainted it - but I didn't clean out the inside (you can still see the shadow of the oil pickup). $50 plus shipping from Vermont
I'm cleaning out the attic. I have this dash out of a 68 Barracuda FB. I am selling it with the glove box (original!) but I don't have the pads or the bezel. It's in great shape. $200 w/o shipping from Vermont.
Ok... I had 3 complete cars to build mine and somehow I lost the wiper switch for the dash... so.... I'm striking out finding one online.. Has anyone got one? With the knob..
Ahhh.....you have time to source and it's not 6 degrees there......just not the same living in Vermont with 2 little kids...Seems like the CI kit is the way to go. Nobody has come out and said "Don't buy from them it's crap" which is what I was looking out for. Thanks everybody!
Friends who've done this before.... I'm ready to pull the trigger on new parts for my 67 cuda conv driver. This is not going to be a drag car - but it does have a 400hp 340. I want to get an economical power disc conversion set up for the front and retro some tubular control arms. I have the 10"...
Ok..I will freely admit I cut a few corners to hear the engine in my project run. It's basically an engine stand while I do the body work. Here's the odd thing though.... Last year I put in the rebuilt 340 into my 68 cuda, hooked everything up (with new plugs and wires but 40 year old wiring)...
If I had to guess it isn't the bulbs.....the dash lights are powered from a roundish grouping of wires that attach to the dash to the driver's right of the fuel/amp/oil/temp cluster. All the wires slip onto copper pins that have often corroded on the dash panes I've had......If you take the time...
