I got my new denso 130 amp alternator today. I'm going to put it on my 68 cuda and run new wiring (skipping the amp guage) and also a ground wire all the way back to the battery in the trunk. Is there a formula for how big the wires should be for x amount of feet and x amount of amps ? Or just...

Anybody here ever bought anything from MAS racing equipment. They've had ads in every car magazine for as long as I can remember but I've never heard anything good or bad about their parts quality or service. They have 7qt street/strip oil pans for under $100 but if it's the same quality level...

I know the old centerlines are out of style but they make one thats about 9 1/2" wide with 71/4 " backspacing that works really good with a none narrowed housing. A 9 by 30 slick fits with this combo. With a mini tub I have no problem with a 12 1/2 ( section) by 29.

the best thing I ever did was start cleaning the parts first with soapy water before ever even using the prep solv. Oh yeah and in a pinch you can wipe with some laquer thinner just before spraying. It makes plastic sticky. :happy11:

Adam, Go to your local auto paint dealer and have them mix whatever color you want. If they have the codes for that far back that is. You can use a small jamb gun or if you dont have a compressor you can go to a house paint store and get a paint sprayer consisting of an aerosole unit that fits...

Is it a factory style balancer ? They're bad about letting the outer weight ring slip around on the rubber that divides it from the inner piece. I had one that was Waaaaaay off. Get the piston to TDC and check the balancer.

Hey ! That hose clamp sounds like a good idea. If you wanna break the original clip off, take a long flat head screwdriver and hammer and hit it from the side. if it doesn't break it will at least warp and loosen from the stud.
