    6.4 hemi installation from the bottom.

    Thats how i did it on my car Only jackstands, engine lift, and some chain and angle brackets....i picked car up from 2 of k frame bolts....got a 45deg angle bracket from home depot to hook up chain to car and sent it.... Ive lifted up a few cars like this so far

    Heres what i did... some sorta fresh ram air Box, that gets air from infront of radiatior.... works killer, i made a lil shroud that deflects water i can bolt in, but i dont drive it in down pours, its the hot rod! Oiling i did remote filter, bumped lines up to 12an out the block after oil temp...

    From what i read up on, for the car stuff... the intake motor is rpm activated, idle-4500rpm the intake is running on long runners, good for torque...around 4500 rpm it will switch to short intake runners and it starts makin some power.... you sure can feel it when you punch it with traction...

    Its just a test to roughly see when they open.... I'm not doing a goddamn science project over here.... im simply testing to see if they work within the temp.... they all fail

    So motorad and/or jet performance thermostats suck! The 180s start to open at 195-200.... that sounds like the stock 203 to me The 160 is stuck closed!! The only other thermostat i can find for the hemis are summit thermostats!! I guess ill give their 180 a shot.... maybe ill buy a 160 and 180...

    Jet performance sells a 160 stat for the new hemi.... they are around 40$.... i bought it on summit racing

    But they pull timing when air intake temp reaches 117-120 deg, and or coolant temp hits 240.....im also tuning it with HP tuners, so its not really designed to run that hot anymore, i know they run them that hot to burn cleaner for emissions.....i drive in some heat, i dont want it runnin 20-40...

    160 vs 180 thermostat

    So i got my 6.4 in my 70 duster.... dam thing is a runner! Only thing i didnt like much was the temps with the 180 thermostat.... on a 95deg day it would run 192-194 deg on the highway.... fans turn on and 196, and i fell thats warm enough.... i know they can run hotter and do, but i dont like...

    This is how i got my big computer side plug of harness into the car.... i cut a big enough hole so plugs can all pass threw, then made a plate that covers big hole, but splits in half... then in that split plate, i drilled a 2" hole for rubber grommet and harness to pass threw.... it came out...
