Crankcase ventilation with blow through supercharger

I'm contemplating putting a blow through supercharger on my 360LA and in the process of thinking about the details of actually making it run a question came to mind (one of several, btw). What do you use as a crankcase evacuation system? Right now my normally aspirated engine is using a...

    Alternator wiring question

Hello all. I've got a Denso Toyota alternator that's rated at 100 amps (might be 90). I've done a little research and I should be running 4 gauge battery cable to a 100 amp fuse then to the battery. Is this right? I somehow doubt the factory ran a 4 gauge wire. If it doesn't need to be 4...

    Correct length V8 throttle cable

I have an OE throttle cable that is only 18" long. I thought it came out of a Duster that had a 318. However, looking up replacement cables shows a length of ~24". Is 24" correct and if so...what did an 18" cable fit? Thanks.

2-3 shift on an "A904-LA" question.

Another thing to remember is that the difference between 2nd and 3rd is about 31%. If, and that's a big if, there is no slippage in the drive train then there should be a corresponding drop in RPM. At 2000 rpm the drop in rpm going from 2nd to 3rd will be ~31%, or about 620 rpm. If there is...

Can't seem to catch a break

I tossed the old lifters before I took a look at them but I did find a piece of metal in the pan that looked like it could have come from the top area of a lifter just above the retaining wire. If that was so then it might explain how the retaining wire got loose...if it was a lifter plunger...

Can't seem to catch a break

Here it is all back together and running. Hopefully I can get it to the track soon. Idling at about 1050...still somewhat cold so the choke was on.

Can't seem to catch a break

Not hardened tip but with a Melanized gear for the hydraulic roller cam. Gear came from Hughes. The pump is stock pressure and volume.

Can't seem to catch a break

I always lube the pump, and will with the new one, before bolting it on. I use gear oil for a new/dry pump. It's stickier and will cause the pump to pick up oil out of the pan quicker. An old trick was to pack the pump with Vaseline. Pump would almost instantly pick up oil. Update - not...

    Yes, in fact it started.

Can't seem to catch a break

Hmmm, that could be a possibility.

Can't seem to catch a break

It didn't...shouldn't have...needed that type of priming. I pulled the plugs, put a boost charger on the battery and cranked it without starting it. Cranking that way would have showed some oil pressure.

Can't seem to catch a break

It did start. Didn't have oil pressure.
