The Duster is in great shape with NO RUST!
The body has been completely gone through and is ready for paint.
The car has a freshly built 0 mile 440/727.
Run/tune time only on engine.
Front disc conversion.
Great glass.
Good interior with no rips or tears.
Ford 9" rear
It is...
It still needs some odds n ends done on the interior
but I kinda like it just the way it is. If I lie down and
stop being a meathead fir a minute it makes sense to
just rebuild what's there instead of re-inventing the wheel. Lol
If you want any other pics or something specific let me know
and...
It really is in great shape. The body lines all match and no real signs of body filler. I'm going to stick with the 318 for now but would like to use a fuel injected motor and overdrive trans. Need to know how easy that would be to install?
Just outside the Hat in Dunmore. It's been sitting in a garage for a long time. I'm really not sure what I'm going to do with it. For now it's going to get a proper tune up in the spring and I'll cruise around with it as much as I can.
I used the following info to get the part numbers.
1966 Valiant. 273 V8.
Napa VR32
BWD R280
Blue Streak VR101
If anyone has any other common part #'s please add to the post and we can all save ourselves some searching.
Hey everybody. Turned out to be the voltage regulator. I do have some part numbers for everybody tho.
I will put them in a new thread so you don't have to scroll through all this.
Thanks to everyone for the help.
Just had a quick look. There is a small bolt in the lower hole on the back of the alt. Is that the one that I should ground?
And yes, sorry, its a '66 Valiant that I just picked up.
I'm going out to the garage and take a pic for you to warm all the Mopar hearts.
The other car is the Duster. Runs crazy strong and if my stock ever goes back up will get paint this winter.
