Thanks for the info. I do need at least 1 torque box and the inner fender well is bad -over the years from battery leakage. It does have some severe rust, looking at it closely seems bad to me. I will get a better idea starting Friday. kinda bummed right now.

A compression test or leak-down test would be a proper start. Does the smoke get worse when going down a steep hill w/throttle closed during engine braking?
