    273 question

Personally, I wouldn't go after a 318. The 273 is a better engine for better performance.

    1966 Cuda update

Thanks, everyone. Ernie is doing a lot of the mechanical work, which means that when I get the car back, I'll be learning how to do the body work. I'm ok with that. The car has zero floor/trunk pan rot and no panel rot at all. I'm getting off easy with this project!

    1966 Cuda update

Last month my brother, Ernie brought my Cuda to Calgary where he lives. He volunteered to get the car running and driveable as long as I pay for the parts and supplies. Here are some pics and a video. Here's the car on the trailer Click on the link below to see the car running. Log In or...

    Overheating problem

I know that this an A body forum, but I need advice about my daily driver, which is a '93 Chrylser Dynasty (it's a Canadian version of the Dodge, but basically the same car). The problem is that it overheats at low speeds, like under 30mph. I put in a new summer thermostat, but I still have the...

    Questions about my brakes

Ok, thanks. I have considered doing a tandem master cylinder replacement. The old one looks a bit archaic.

    Questions about my brakes

I want to check my brakes on my '66 Barracuda. The level is very low in the MC and the brakes are spongy. What I plan to do is inspect the brakes, and if they are still good, keep them, but I feel that it would be a good idea to flush the system before adding and bleeding through new fluid...

    Medical student joke

A medical student was in the morgue one day after classes getting a little practice in before the final exams. He went over to a table where a body was lying face down. He removed the sheet over the body and to his surprise he found a cork in the corpse's rectum. Figuring this was fairly...

1964 - 1966 Barracuda starter removal and installation advice

I still say it's best to remove the left engine mount and jack up the engine, that will make the top nut easier to get at, and the starter will drop out easier.

    Is this a 161?

I have another question. Is the pump plunger supposed to move freely? Dumb question, I know, but it doesn't move, and if it's supposed to, can I free it up with WD40?

    Is this a 161?

This one is for my '66 Barracuda with the 273 engine. The number at the base is 1-1435 there is another number on the side of the float bowl that reads 0-1781 and another number at the back left corner of the carb which reads 6-1758
