I tried them. He quoted a fairly high price to "try" and tune it. He wanted to sell me a holley double pumper. Not sure i want to go that route with this car. It's nice to cruise past a gas station once in a while. I'm in Lindenhurst.
I for the life of me cannot get rid of my off the line bog. Does anyone recommend a shop i get an eldebrock carb tuned? Every place I call wants to sell me a holley or they say they can't guarantee to fix the problem. I'm willing to travel pretty much anywhere at this point.
I didn't know Allstate carburetor was still around! I used them many many times going back 20 years though. Thanks for that video, seems like a good place to start but it runs so well other then that wide open hesitation I would be afraid to mess anything up. I think this time time I may send it...
71 scamp with a 360. Has an edlebrock carb. Runs really well idles great but has a bog or hesitation when you give it wide open throttle for the first few seconds. I don't know enough for me to mess with it myself.
I don't know, I'm not against new technology but I never had issues with a regular lead acid battery. I had a few optima batteries in my boat and had a failure after a year on the first one and a then the other failed after the second year. Maybe it was old stock and they replaced them under...
I got on it a few times with my son in the car. Needless to say I may be able to finally sell my 77 f250 that he loved more then anything. He refused to let me even talk about getting rid of it
Don't tell the authorities but I couldn't stand to see it in the garage all filthy. So I threw some plates on it and drove 3 blocks to the car wash. I better get used to talking to about it.
I'm sitting in the garage now. Just unloaded some parts and am wondering how I'm going to wash and wax it in these freezing temps. Oh and with a bourbon in hand
