The Kelsey-Hayes Disk Brake Swap Thread

I do need to get new lower ball joints - forgot the mention that. But, those are easy to find. I may go ahead and change out the uppers as well. But, I didn't really want to change out the UCA's and change over to the BBP for the wheels. I was under the impression that the way the hubs and...

The Kelsey-Hayes Disk Brake Swap Thread

Does anyone know if there is anyone selling the disk brake wheel hubs for a 65-72 A-body (NOT the 73-74 version) that would go with this conversion? I have all the parts EXCEPT the wheel hubs to do this conversion. I am assuming that the drum brake wheel hubs will not work. Thanks!

I need 2 disk brake wheel hubs for my disk brake conversion. I have everything I need except the hub assemblies. PM me if you have 1 or 2. Thanks!

Folks seriously overestimate the value of those back windows. They are not found every day. But, they can be found with a minimum of effort and they certainly aren't worth 4 digits of price regardless of what those idiots on Desert Car Kings say. I've got an extra back window that I'd sell...

    brake issues, out of ideas...

It almost sounds like the residual pressure valve isn't installed in the master cylinder you are buying or it isn't working. You might want to check the application of the master cylinder you bought and see whether or not it has a residual pressure valve in it. The residual pressure valve...

    1969 Plymouth Barrracuda fastback

Scammers need not reply. I wasn't born yesterday and I know all about the phony cashier's check schemes plus other stupid attempts at fraud. I'm asking $2000 and I'm located in Marietta, GA. My phone number is FOUR ZERO FOUR -TWO SEVEN ONE -5532. Sorry I had to spell that out. But, otherwise...

    10x2 Drums

I tried everyone as well and couldn't find them anywhere. What I ended up doing was getting 10 x 2.5" with the SBP and then NAPA put them in their lathe and we cut them down to size. Worked like a charm. I gave them an old drum to use that was the template for the right size. I will keep the...

    Nice garage!

I understand folks concerns over their property values. But, my response is that if you are THAT concerned, then move to a subdivision with REALLY restrictive covenants. It sounds to me like this guy complied with the zoning restrictions and laws in his area and now the neighbors are...

    It drives like hell

I FINALLY got the rear brakes taken care of on my 69 Barracuda. The rear brakes were pretty much toast. The wheel cylinders were completely rusted up and had junk all in them, half the springs and hardware were broken, parts of the brake shoes were held together with bailing wire, and the lines...

My 1967 Restoration Project *many pictures*

That may be a 340 - which you would definitely want to keep. There should be a stamped pad on the motor just below the head on the driver's side that would have either 318 and 340 in the number and that will tell you the displacement.

    Advice needed: Budget rebuild

I really appreciate the help. I especially appreciate the link for the 330HP 318. I think that is right up my alley. My plan is to use what I have and get the J heads milled down (I think they will need it to be used anyhow), the cast iron 4bbl and then I'll look at the carb I have and see if it...
