Finally got the hauler finished the day before the June 17th Tennessee Valley Mopar Show in Huntsville,AL. Traveled the twenty miles to the show without the benefit of high gear in the two-speed electric shift differential;loads of fun traveling at a blistering 35 mph---LOL. Here's the specs on the hauler,46k miles on an ex-Airforce 68 DODGE D-500. 318 engine with power steering and heavy duty cooling. Every item on the cab with the exception of the grill is N.O.S., inside of cab is also fully restored with many N.O.S. parts. Paint and bodywork was handled by me; color is same as Dart," BLUE MOOD" by PPG HOUSE of COLORS. Lettering is all hand lettered by a local artist by the name of STEVE KENT. Truck was modeled after the Dick Landy 1967 Indy hauler with added touches from other haulers of that period. Hauler is 95% finished with only minor items to sort out. Future plans will be the installation of a cross ram Hemi and racing front brakes to replace the factory disc's in the Dart. Now I'm just looking forward to some enjoyment time??? Feel free to contact me with any questions or if any parts are needed for a medium duty Dodge truck.
